🌟 Sleep under the stars. Support your community.

Michelle is getting behind Give2Give 2026 with The Community Swagout — inviting locals to roll out their swag, sleep under the stars and raise funds for community-led projects through Give2Give.

A great night out. A beautiful Central Australian sky. And a chance to give something back to the community. 🌙

“The Community Swagout felt like the perfect way to get behind Give2Give. We’re looking forward to getting locals out under the stars, having a great night and raising some money for the community at the same time.”

And that’s the beauty of Give2Give fundraising: your idea can become a way to support the community.

Got something brewing? An event, activity, challenge or gathering?

This Friday evening at 5:15pm! 🌟 Join community development practitioners Peter Westoby and Rachael Donovan for an evening of conversation, challenge and practical insight as we explore one of the most important questions facing Alice Springs: how do we become a community that hears itself better?

The evening will also include the official Alice Springs launch of The Community Builder's Journal, a practical companion for anyone interested in building stronger, more connected communities.

Whether you're involved in a community group, business, school, neighbourhood, sporting club, government—or simply care about the future of Alice Springs—you are warmly invited.

Come ready to listen, and maybe leap a little differently.

Light refreshments provided

This is a FREE event but RSVPs are essential by registration: https://events.humanitix.com/listen-before-you-leap

Here’s to all the newcomers in town who joined in Come to Dinner at Campfire in the Heart last Friday night - we had a great group of 46 newcomers and supporters!

The team was thrilled to welcome people from Nepal, Tasmania, the US, South Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, Columbia, Melbourne and other places interstate and overseas. Newcomers have come to town to work in health, education, aircraft support, trades, media and in Aboriginal organisations, among others.

MASCF President Libby Prell welcomed our newcomers, and we said farewell to two of our Come to Dinner team, Tom and Kevin, who are returning home – you will be missed!

A big thank you to Nicola and Jorge from Campfire for hosting us, and to Dan and Michelle from Aussie Backroads Tours for the fabulous campfire meal – we couldn’t have done it with out you!

Stay tuned for the last Come to Dinner for the year, Fri 16th October – it’s going to be extra special 😊
