The Abbott’s and Brokus Families invite you to join them in the funeral service of Louise Abbott.

For us, Louise was a founding member of the Tangentyere Women's Family Safety Group which started in 2014. She attended almost every group meeting, every Tuesday, for 11 years. She was so passionate about this work and loved this group.

We miss Louise terribly but are so proud to have stood beside her in the work she did to stop violence against women and children.

We invite all community orgs to join with us in creating a space for everyone to channel their grief. We want to particularly acknowledge the leadership of Tangentyere Council and we want to acknowledge NT Police, all emergency service personnel and all the community services - CLC, Congress, Purple House and others - who were so instrumental in supporting and coordinating the search efforts.
We are coming together on May 7th 2026 at 5:30pm on ANZAC Oval to give each other strength as we collectively mourn this precious little one. Please join in the spirit of love, peace, and community. Let's wrap our arms around our grieving community, and send our gratitude and support to everyone who helped search for this little one. Let's come together to care for her grieving family. Please wear something pink and bring an electronic candle if you can. We will gather together to watch sunset and remember her.

The Prevent Assist Respond Training do your part (PART) project is specialist ongoing domestic, family and sexual violence (DFSV) training for police and healthcare workers in the Northern Territory.
