Happy World Scout Day! 🌏⚜️

Today, Scouts across Australia join millions around the world in celebrating the founding of the Scout Movement — a movement that has inspired young people to lead, serve and make a positive difference for more than a century.

As we celebrate, we also extend our heartfelt thanks to the dedicated Leaders and adult volunteers whose passion, encouragement and commitment help make these opportunities possible for so many young people.

Scouts SA has set a new world record for Most People Roasting Marshmallows Simultaneously, as 1,719 people came together at Woodhouse Adventure Park to smash the previous record.

Over the weekend, Flameboree lit up the Adelaide Hills with a spectacular fire torch procession through Woodhouse, followed by nearly 2,000 people uniting for the record-breaking marshmallow roast.

Flameboree was a shining example of Scouting spirit in action. Thank you to all the volunteers, members, and families who helped make this an event we’ll be talking about for years to come.

Congratulations to ABSG’s 'The Fossils' for their Silver Grade at Cohen Cup this year! 40 patrols from around SA competed this year, setting up and running their own camp, including cooking a 3 course meal and pioneering!

Aldinga Bay Scout Group would like to say a huge thank you to all our volunteers. We are forever grateful for the time and effort you all put in to provide our youth members with such a varied and fulfilling scouting experience.
Leaders, committee members, parent helpers, you are all very much appreciated and we thank you for everything you do.

We had all our sections together at the hall last night as it was also our AGM.
It was great to hear reports from the section leaders on all the things our youth members have gotten up to over the last 12 months - including rock climbing, kayaking, hiking, camping, and events such as Cohen Cup, Cuboree, Super Splash and Easter Venture to name a few.
Thank you to everyone that came along and thank you and welcome to our new committee members for the year ahead.
Here’s to another great 12 months.

📣 Term 2 2026 starts next week

Are you ready for fun , adventure, new friends, outdoor activities, exciting challenges, growth, camping, leadership, new beginnings, special interest areas, fostering development and community involvement through a diverse range of programs?

We currently offer the following sessions:

Joeys (age 5-8) - Mon 6:30-7:30pm
Cubs (age 8-11) - Mon 6:30-8pm
Scouts (age 11-14) - Tues 6:30-8:30pm
Venturers (age 15-17) - Tues 6:30-8:30pm

We can't wait to meet you this term and we offer 3 free come and try sessions!

Aldinga Bay Scout Group is also looking for adults who would love to offer some time to help support youth members through their Scouting journey, along with supporting roles in our committee. If you would like to get involved please send us a message
