🎨 Community Art is Moving!

After consulting with our Community Art participants, we're pleased to confirm a change to the program based on your feedback.

From Wednesday 2 September 2026, Community Art will meet:

New Room📍 The Space (Aldinga Community Centre)
New Time 🕛 12pm to 3pm

With an overwhelming majority of participants supporting the change, we're hopeful this new arrangement will free up the car park, enabling people to park closer to the entrance.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to share their thoughts. Your feedback helps us create programs that work better for our community.

If you've always wanted to come along to see what it's about, feel free to pop into a session, bring your own artwork and materials, and meet our friendly crew!

🎸Chat & Chunes is back this week!

Join us on Wednesday 26th August, from 1.30pm–3.30pm, for another wonderful afternoon of fun and friendship.

This month we are celebrating our fourth anniversary of Chat & Chunes in style, with a variety concert featuring talented local performers.

As always, there'll be a delicious afternoon tea and great entertainment from our very own Vintage Blend.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Looking for a fun and social way to spend your Monday afternoon?

Join us for Indoor Carpet Bowls every Monday from 1.30pm to 3.30pm at the Aldinga Community Centre.

Whether you're a seasoned player or completely new to the game, everyone is welcome. It's a great opportunity to stay active, meet new people, enjoy some friendly competition, and have plenty of laughs along the way.

🎨🏺 The Many Hands SALA Exhibition is now open!

What a wonderful afternoon celebrating the opening of the Many Hands SALA Exhibition on the 8th of August, showcasing the creativity and talent of participants from our Aldinga Community Pottery program.

The exhibition features a diverse collection of handmade works, each reflecting the skill, imagination and dedication of the artists involved. It was fantastic to see community members, family and friends come together to support and celebrate this collaboration.

📍 The exhibition is on display throughout August at the Onkaparinga Arts so be sure to drop in and see these beautiful works for yourself.

Look at this incredible work from one of our talented members here at the Aldinga Community Shed!

Our Woodwork Program volunteers and participants continue to amaze us with their creativity and craftsmanship. This stunning handcrafted timber box showcases the skill, patience and passion that goes into every project.

Not only is our workshop a place to create beautiful pieces, it's also a place to learn new skills, share inspiration and connect with others.

📢 Exciting Changes Coming to Symonds Reserve! 🌳🎉

We're excited to share that the Symonds Reserve Playground Upgrade is moving ahead, with consultation now complete and updates made to the design based on community feedback.

This project will deliver a refreshed and enhanced community space right next door to Aldinga Community Centre, creating even more opportunities for play, connection and outdoor enjoyment for local families and residents.

One feature we're particularly excited about is the removal of the fence between Aldinga Community Centre and Symonds Reserve, helping to create a stronger connection between the centre and the reserve and making the space feel more welcoming and accessible for everyone.
