60 YEARS OLD. FIRST PARALYMPIC MEDAL. 🥉

Two years ago today, Thomas Wandschneider made history in Paris. 🇩🇪✨

At 60, the German Para badminton player defeated South Korea’s Jeong Jaegun, the world No. 4 and reigning World Championships bronze medallist, 26–24, 21–11 to claim his first Paralympic medal.

But this was more than a bronze.

It was Germany’s first-ever Paralympic medal in Para badminton. And for Thomas, it was the fulfilment of a dream he had carried for years.
