We congratulates one of our own, James Mutisi of Jimwella Piggery, for successfully hosting a historic Livestock Field Day on 30 April 2026 in Piki, Ward 6, Mutare South Constituency.

James is a hardworking and determined young leader committed to food security through practical livestock production. By expanding from traditional crops into piggery, Jimwella proves that youth can lead in diversifying agriculture and creating wealth at grassroots level.

His journey rising above disability to win the 2025 Outstanding Youth Award from H.E. President E.D. Mnangagwa, now inspires young people across Manicaland. James lives the principle “Disability is not inability” and champions Production Over Handouts.

Jimwella’s success is Manicaland’s success. It proves that youth are key drivers of Vision 2030. We are proud of you, James Mutisi. Keep flying the youth flag high.

As Manica Youth Assembly, we stand with James and call on all youth: Learn from Jimwella. Produce. Feed the nation.

Happy International Workers’ Day

Today we celebrate the hardworking MAYA team and all workers whose commitment and volunteerism build stronger, thriving communities. We stand with youth and workers demanding a just transition away from fossil fuels that puts human rights and intergenerational justice at the center. The First International Conference Synthesis shows climate action must end economic dependence on fossil fuels and secure binding commitments from states and corporations. Trade unions and youth agree: no transition without labor rights, social dialogue, and decent jobs through planned reconversion and community investment.

We celebrated Earth Day the best way we know how, showing love to Mother Earth through tree planting and spreading awareness on why protecting can’t wait.

This year’s theme, “Our Power, Our Planet,” is a reminder that real change starts with all of us. From individuals to communities to entire sectors, we all have a role to play in choosing , , and shared for the planet we call home

Today, we’re it to an impactful Multi-Stakeholder Engagement Meeting organised in partnership with Green Institute and NANGO Zimbabwe , with support from the Institute for Young Women Development, in collaboration with the Alliance of Community Based Organisations - ACBOs

This meeting opened space for honest conversations that sparked practical solutions. We unpacked the real challenges Community-Based Organisations face under the Private Voluntary Organisation (PVO) Amendment Act (2025) complex registration requirements, inconsistent processes, and limited access to updated guidelines. These barriers cause delays, uncertainty, and operational risks for many CBOs.

But we didn’t stop at challenges. Stakeholders pushed for the way forward, standardised provincial registration guidelines, stronger communication channels, and a dedicated helpdesk to make registration clearer, smoother, and more accessible for CBOs.
