🕊️ FROM FAITH TO ACTION

Over the past days, we have explored three connected issues;

🕊️ PEACE — building communities around dialogue, reconciliation and justice.

🧠 MENTAL HEALTH — creating compassionate spaces where people can speak, heal and access support.

🛡️ GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE — protecting dignity, challenging harmful norms and supporting survivors.

These are not separate conversations.
They are part of building communities where people can live with peace, dignity, safety and hope.

This reflects ZCA's wider mission of pursuing social transformation, justice and peace through faith-based advocacy and community initiatives. Zimbabwe Christian Alliance

When we promote peace, protect vulnerable people, challenge violence, listen to those who are struggling and support healing, we demonstrate the values we profess.

SILENCE IS NOT PROTECTION.

When abuse happens, communities need safe and responsible ways to respond.
The church can help create environments where people can speak, seek help and access appropriate support.
Protection begins when we take concerns seriously.

🛡️ PROTECTING WOMEN AND GIRLS IS A COMMUNITY RESPONSIBILITY
ZCA has previously worked with church leaders and partners to raise awareness on gender-based violence, child marriage and the protection of women and girls. Zimbabwe Christian Alliance
The church can help by:
📚 Educating congregations.
🗣️ Challenging harmful beliefs.
🤝 Supporting survivors.
🛡️ Promoting child protection.
🔗 Strengthening referral pathways.
Every woman and girl deserves dignity and safety.

Micah 6:8 reminds us to act justly, love mercy and walk humbly with God.
Justice must include the protection of women and girls from violence and abuse.
Our faith must challenge practices that deny human dignity.

Faith, plays a very critical role in relieving mental health issues.
It should remind us that people are not problems to be judged.

They are people to be heard, supported and treated with dignity.

Let us build communities where compassion is stronger than stigma.
