"Ek het hulle besteel en albei al soveel keer teleurgestel. Nie een van hulle wou my meer help nie," vertel hy. "Ek het in die hondehok in my eie jaart geslaap." In 2009 het Marvin sy lewe omgekeer en vandag is hy al 17 jaar dwelmvry, én werk hy as 'n amptenaar in die kantoor van die Kaapse burgemeester, Geordin Hill-Lewis. 🌱 Growing Through Resilience 🌱

In celebration of Women’s Day, our female inpatients took part in a creative and meaningful activity — painting and decorating their very own pot planter before planting a succulent as a symbol of resilience, growth and new beginnings. 💜

Just like a succulent, resilience is about learning to adapt, surviving difficult seasons, and continuing to grow even when circumstances are challenging. 🌿

Each plant is a reminder that growth takes time, that every journey is unique, and that with care, patience and perseverance, something beautiful can emerge.

We are proud of each woman for the courage it takes to begin a journey of recovery and for the strength they show as they continue to grow. 🌱💚

Here’s to new beginnings, inner strength and continuing to grow — one day at a time. ✨
