We are incredibly proud to share the impact of our partnership with the Stellenbosch University Accounting Department over the past two years.

Through this partnership, accounting students visit our after-school centres to support Pebbles learners with mathematics. It has become so much more than tutoring — meaningful relationships have been built, encouragement has been shared, and learners have gained confidence in themselves and their abilities.

The university students recently identified a need for scientific calculators among our learners and took the initiative to organise a calculator drive.

Thanks to their generosity and dedication, 60 brand-new scientific calculators were donated to Pebbles Project.

We are truly grateful for this incredible contribution and the continued support shown to our learners. 💙

💚 In support of Global Mental Health Awareness Month and the start of Child Protection Week, the Pebbles Wellness Team came together to host a special session with our Pebbles Stellenbosch staff.

At Pebbles Project, we believe that we are more than colleagues — we are family. Creating safe spaces where we can support, encourage, and look out for one another is so important, both in the workplace and in our communities.

To show our support and raise awareness, staff members proudly wore green — the awareness colour for both Mental Health Awareness Month and Child Protection Week. 💚

Together, we continue to stand for wellness, compassion, and the protection of every child.

Today marks the start of Child Protection Week 2025, taking place from 29 May – 5 June under the theme: “Working Together in Ending Violence Against Children.” 💚

Every child deserves to grow up in a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment where their rights and wellbeing are protected. As a community, we all have a role to play in creating spaces where children feel seen, heard, valued, and safe.

At Pebbles Project, we stand alongside families, educators, communities, and partners in advocating for the protection of every child. Together, we can help break the cycle of abuse, neglect, violence, and exploitation.

Today, on International Day of Action for Women’s Health, we are reminded that women’s health matters every single day. 💜

At Pebbles Project, we are proud to continue supporting women in our communities through our Impilo Yabafazi programme, providing health education, wellness support, cervical and breast cancer screenings, reproductive health services, treatment and referrals where needed.

But today is also a reminder to check in with ourselves and the women around us. Have you booked your check-up? Have you gone for your screening?

Let us continue creating safe spaces for open conversations, while supporting and encouraging one another to prioritise our health and well-being.🌸

Some of the best surprises arrive unexpectedly 🤍

One of our 2023 medical interns, Roy, stopped by today. Roy was one of the very first students we hosted from Maastricht University after Covid, and from the start, he became such a special part of the Pebbles family.

Today, he introduced us to his girlfriend and also made a generous donation of R2000. More than that, his visit reminded us of the incredible people, friendships and memories created along the journey.

From long days and hard work to laughter, shared experiences and unforgettable moments .

Careers Day at Pebbles Academy 🚒

Our primary school learners had so much fun learning about different jobs and discovering what they might want to be when they grow up. A big highlight was a special visit from the Fire Brigade, who arrived with their fire truck, gear, and lots of enthusiasm!

The learners were able to see the equipment up close, ask questions, and learn more about how firefighters help keep our communities safe. It was a hands-on, interactive experience that brought lots of smiles.
