At 22, Marshaleno is proof that one opportunity can change everything. 🌱

Growing up on a farm in Karwyderskraal, career options felt limited — until he joined the Pebbles Project Youth Development Programme in June 2025, dreaming of becoming a fashion designer.

Through training in hospitality, leadership, w**e, reception and more, Marshaleno discovered a new path. A 3-month placement at Creation W**es turned into full-time employment as a Hospitality Host — all thanks to his warmth, work ethic and natural ability to connect with people.

His creativity hasn't gone anywhere. It just found a new stage. 💫

This is what happens when young people from rural communities are given the tools to build their own future.

Today we're saying thank you to Driscoll's for making our Driscoll's Mobile Health Clinic possible. 💚

For families in the remote farming communities around Clanwilliam, getting to a basic healthcare isn't always simple — long distances and limited transport can stand between them and the care they need. Thanks to Driscoll's support, our Mobile Health Clinic bridges that gap, bringing essential healthcare directly to those who need it most. 🚐.

From primary healthcare and wellness services to maternal health support and health education, the mobile clinic meets families where they are. Add referral and follow-up support plus preventative care, and it becomes a full circle of care for the whole community.

To Driscoll's — thank you for investing in healthier families, stronger communities, and brighter futures. This impact is yours too. 💙

Our Pebbles After-School learners made the most of the school holidays with a fun programme packed with activities, new experiences and plenty of memories! 💛

From a Tag Rugby Competition in Citrusdal and an outing to Cape Town International Airport, to a Karate Competition in George — there was something for everyone! 🏉✈️🥋

We love seeing our learners getting active, exploring new places, building confidence and creating memories along the way!

🍷 There’s Sunshine Inside – London Trade Tasting! 🇿🇦

We are so excited to be the charity partner for the There’s Sunshine Inside – W**es of South Africa Trade Tasting taking place on the 13th of October in London! 🇬🇧

Organised by W**es of South Africa (WoSA), this annual showcase celebrates all that South African w**e has to offer — from meeting incredible producers and discovering new w**es to joining masterclasses and, of course, tasting the sunshine inside every glass. 🍇

And we’ll be there too! 💙 Make sure you stop by the Pebbles table for a chance to win some fantastic prizes, while learning more about the work we do and how you can support our communities in South Africa.

Another Friday, another real-life story worth telling.💕

23-year-old Juliaan lives on Jakkalsvlei farm in Clanwilliam and is eight months pregnant with her second baby, a baby boy. For families in remote farming communities, getting to healthcare isn't always easy — long distances, limited transport, and cost all get in the way.

That's where the Pebbles Project Driscoll's Mobile Health Clinic comes in, bringing check-ups, preventative care and health education directly to the farm.

"The mobile clinic has been such a big help for me, especially during my pregnancy," Juliaan says. "The nurse working in the clinic is very knowledgeable and she helped me to feel prepared for the arrival of my baby." 💛

Through the Maternal Health Initiative, Juliaan attended workshops on healthy eating, warning signs during pregnancy, and the birthing process, plus three check-ups to monitor her progress. She even received a Baby Box filled with essentials for her and her baby boy.

"It is so wonderful and convenient for me to have my check-ups and have the mobile clinic come to me on the farm."
