Women lead the way as Include My Story builds international links in efforts to bring DIGNITY to young women in the Western Cape!

Today our Chairperson Nothando Wamaphephethe Vilakazi received a donation of a shoppong trolley full of sanitary pads from visiting Rotary Scholars GB&I Martina Lastikova!

Originally from Slovakia, Martina has a special interest in mediation, critical perspectives of Ubuntu and the factors that have contributed to building a united and diverse South Africa. She is currently completing her Masters degree in Peace & Development studies Linnaeus University Centre for Intermedial and Multimodal Studies in Sweden but is in South Africa for field work.

When she met Nothando during the course of her research she felt compelled to contribute in some way to the work Include My Story is doing.

WE ARE EDUCATING AND ENGAGING WITH THE NEXT GENERATION!

TODAY our founder & chairperson Nothando Wamaphephethe Vilakazi spoke to the learners of Generation Schools Somerset West about Human Rights.

South Africa will celebrate Human Rights Day on 21 March 2023, and reflect on what human rights are and what they mean to us in 2023.

Nothando provided a workshop on human rights including a fun activity, easy to remember lessons and encouraged learners to critically engage with what Human Rights are, where they can find information about their Human Rights and what they can do day to day to ensure Human Rights in South Africa are looked after and promoted!

Thank you to Mrs Antoinette Beck, Principal at Generation Schools Somerset West for hosting us. Thank you and well done to the school for taking this important first step to developing active citizens who can engage openly and constructively about topical challenges facing our country.

HAPPY WOMEN'S DAY TO OUR FOUNDER Nothando Wamaphephethe Vilakazi AND ALL OF SOUTH AFRICA'S OTHER INCREDIBLE WOMEN LEADERS!

"Now you understand
Just why my head’s not bowed.
I don’t shout or jump about
Or have to talk real loud.
When you see me passing,
It ought to make you proud...... ’Cause I’m a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That’s me."
