Hospice Rustenburg

Hospice Rustenburg Hospice Rustenburg provides home based care to people suffering from life threatening or life limiting illnesses. Focussing on quality of life.

Our two charity shops operate between 9h to 16h45 Wildevy and 8h to 16h Steen. Saturdays 9h to 13h Wildevy and 8h to 12h Steen. Hospice Rustenburg provides, free of charge, home based palliative care to any person who is suffering from a life limiting or life threatening illness (like cancer, HIV and Tuberculosis). Palliative care is any form of medical care or treatment that concentrates on redu

cing the severity of symptoms and relieving pain, rather than striving to cure. We are operating in the Greater Rustenburg Community and the Bojanala District. We are a Non Governmental Organization and fully dependent on sponsorship. One of our sustainability projects is our fully equiped Training Centre, that we hire out to the community. Other well known projects are our 2 Second Hand Shops. Check our website for more info about our projects.

Hope can look very different after a leukaemia diagnosis.
Sometimes it arrives in the form of a stem cell donor. Sometimes it comes from a treatment breakthrough. Sometimes it comes from knowing that whatever lies ahead, you won't face it alone.

As Leukaemia Awareness Month begins, we recognise everyone living with blood cancers, their families and the healthcare teams walking alongside them.

Registering as a stem cell donor has the potential to change someone's future.

Supporting people through palliative care helps ensure that, whatever their journey looks like, they are cared for with dignity, comfort and compassion.

There are women whose names you'll never read in history books.
Instead, you'll find them sitting quietly beside a hospital bed.
Driving long distances to a patient's home.
Holding a hand through difficult conversations.
Supporting families long after others have gone home.
Their work isn't measured in headlines. It's measured in moments.

This Women's Month, we invite you to meet some of these extraordinary women through Hospice Voices of Love.

These are not stories about heroes.
They are stories about ordinary women whose compassion, skill and quiet determination change lives every single day.
They remind us that dignity is not created by grand gestures, but by showing up, again and again, when people need it most.

We hope you'll take a few moments to read their stories.
They are a powerful reminder of the humanity that sits at the heart of palliative care.
