🧡Friday Feel Good Feeding Day🧡

Today the team was out and about making sure some very special animals had full tummies. Feeding days are always a highlight for us, and there’s nothing better than seeing happy faces and wagging tails.

Today we thought we’d share some photos of the kitties we visited along the way. Every full belly is a reminder of why this work matters.

🧡The Orange Collar Project🧡

An idea from a community member to help address the dog problem in West is now in action.

Many of the dogs hanging around Pick n Pay and other shops have homes, but because kind hearted shoppers often share a snack or two, the dogs have made a habit of coming up to the shops each day.

The Orange Collar Project helps identify dogs that have an owner, are sterilised, vaccinated and monitored by RAW.

The project hasn’t stopped the begging just yet, but we hope that when people see an orange collar they will know the dog is already being cared for and perhaps offer a pat instead of a treat.

This is just the beginning. If you regularly see a dog around the shops , please take a photo and send it to RAW on WhatsApp to (063) 139-2256 . We will try to locate the owner and, where needed, ensure the dog is sterilised, vaccinated and becomes part of the Orange Collar Project.

What does my ticket include?

Your ticket includes a welcome drink on arrival, a delicious street-food style lunch, a live concert by RAAF, and a DJ after-party with .

Who is RAAF?

RAAF is the acclaimed husband and wife music duo, Lourens and Esté Raaf. Their unique blend of Afrikaans and English music, combined with energetic performances, storytelling and exceptional musicianship, has earned them a loyal following across South Africa. Their music appeals to all ages, making every performance a memorable experience.

Who is the DJ?

Our DJ is , one of our very own local favourites, well known for his awesome Dusk To Dawn Swartland sets. He is renowned for creating incredible vibes at every event, and we are looking forward to dancing the afternoon away.

What happens if it rains?

No need to worry. Delsma Farm has a huge covered patio, a spacious bar area, and a reception room where you can enjoy a drink before the show. The concert itself will take place in a beautiful indoor hall.

What about the food?

We’ve got you covered. Vegetarian options will be available, and your ticket includes a delicious street-food style lunch.

Will I have to drive home in the dark?

No. This is an afternoon event, so you’ll be able to enjoy the celebrations and still get home before dark. The event starts at 12:30pm and finishes in the early evening.

What’s on auction?

There will truly be something for every wallet. Auction items include handmade dog leashes, beautiful ceramic artwork, wine, and some incredible artwork, with more exciting items being added all the time.
