Welcome to Heartstrings Community project!
We believe that sometimes a little help at the right time can make a world of difference.
Every month, Heartstrings supports local families, moms, babies and children through practical acts of kindness.
Our Community Care Market allows moms to choose clothing, bedding, towels and other essentials.
We provide grocery vouchers to people who are struggling.
We support local creches.
We have started a baby home and are waiting with open hearts for the arrival of our first baby.
And every month, we see how much a community can achieve when people care.

We’re not here to change the whole world overnight.
We’re here to help the person in front of us.

A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful couple who donated a whole lot of cleaning products to us over the weekend.

They wish to remain anonymous, but we want them to know just how grateful we are for their kindness and support.

These much needed supplies will be put to good use across our community centre, church and baby home, with some also being shared with local crèches that we support.

Thank you for helping us care for the spaces and people in our community. Your kindness truly makes a difference. 🌿

Meet Mike and Paula Strydom, the founders of Heartstrings Community Project.

Over 12 years ago, Heartstrings began operating from their home, born out of a shared passion for people and a desire to make a practical difference in the lives of others.

Together with their children, Mike and Paula have continued to grow and run the organisation through many ups and downs, new adventures and projects along the way.

Today, Heartstrings operates from our community centre, where we have a space to serve, connect with people and continue the work that began all those years ago.

What started in our home with a few people has grown into a community of "heartstrings" that reaches many far and wide and we’re incredibly grateful for every person who has been part of the journey.
