Overstrand Municipality opens 100 EPWP job opportunities across the area
The Overstrand Municipality has uploaded a range of job opportunities under the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP), funded through the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment (DFFE).
A total of 100 positions are available across the Overstrand, providing short-term employment opportunities for local residents.
Vacancies are available in Gansbaai and Stanford, Hawston, Hermanus, Kleinmond and Pearly Beach. The positions include General Workers, Artisan Assistants, Artisan Plumbers, Library Assistants and an Administrator post.
The available positions are:
• General Workers (70 posts): Gansbaai & Stanford, Hawston, Hermanus and Kleinmond
• Artisan Assistants (6 posts): Hermanus
• Artisan Plumbers (14 posts): Hermanus, Hawston, Kleinmond, Gansbaai & Stanford, and Pearly Beach
• Library Assistants (8 posts): Hermanus, Kleinmond, Gansbaai & Stanford, and Pearly Beach
• Administrators (2 posts): Hermanus
The contracts will run until 31 March 2027, offering successful applicants valuable work experience and an opportunity to contribute to service delivery and community development initiatives within the Overstrand area.
