Sandown Bay Security was honoured to donate one of two Cape Chesnut Tree’s with Overberg Arborists, to be planted at Kleinmond Laerskool.

It was a privilege to be part of this special initiative, where the learners from the school's Eco Committee took the lead in planting their new trees. We hope these two trees flourish under the learners care, growing stronger with each passing year and serving as a lasting reminder of the importance of protecting our environment. 🌍💚

A big thank you to Overberg Arborists and Kleinmond Laerskool for helping us make a positive difference in our community. Together, we can plant the seeds for a greener tomorrow!

For 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿, we are honoured to support the 𝗞𝗹𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 and its mission to make a meaningful difference in the lives of learners with 𝗦𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 (𝗦𝗜𝗗) 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗺 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿 (𝗔𝗦𝗗).

Serving learners from Kleinmond, Betty’s Bay, Pringle Bay, Hawston, Fisherhaven and Hermanus, this newly established class is working towards creating a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued and has the opportunity to reach their fullest potential. 💙

From educational games and sensory resources to communication tools, outdoor play equipment and a future playground and vegetable garden, there are many ways we can help create a space where these learners can grow, explore and thrive. A special thank you to 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗮 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗲 for her dedication, compassion and commitment to supporting these children. 💙 𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗔𝗨𝗚𝗨𝗦𝗧 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗞𝗘𝗧 𝗗𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 💛

We believe in making a difference in the community we proudly serve. 🤝

Every month, we host our Community Market, where all stall fees collected are set aside and donated to a chosen charity or organisation making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

For August, we were truly honoured to donate our contribution to the 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 (𝗢𝗔𝗣𝗗). 💙

OAPD is a registered non-profit organisation that provides social and therapeutic services to persons with disabilities and their families throughout the Overstrand. Through counselling, therapeutic support, skills development and empowerment programmes, they help individuals build independence and participate more fully in community life.

Their three day care centres in Hawston, Zwelihle and Kleinmond provide daily care, stimulation, developmental activities and a safe, supportive environment for children and adults with disabilities, while also offering support to their caregivers. The day care centre in Kleinmond is located by Mthimkhulu Village, serving as part of their commitment to supporting individuals and families in our local community. 💛

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to 𝗝𝘂𝗱𝘆 𝗢𝗻𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗿 and 𝗡𝗼𝗸𝘀𝗶 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗶 for the dedication, compassion and love they bring to their work every day. Your efforts help create a more inclusive community where everyone has the opportunity to grow, learn and thrive.
