Kleinmond Special Daycare We officially opened Kleinmond Special Daycare's doors on the 4th of January 2021 at Mthimkhulu Village.

We are registered to accommodate eight special needs children at the daycare.

Today, Ms. Noksie Booi, Social Worker at Overstrand APD, visited our Kleinmond Special Daycare Centre to facilitate an important Child Protection awareness session.

The topic, "Body Safety – Your Body Belongs to You," focused on helping children understand personal boundaries, body autonomy, and their right to feel safe. Children were taught that their bodies belong to them and that no one should touch their private parts except in situations related to their health, hygiene, or safety, such as a medical examination with a parent or caregiver present, or when assistance with personal care is needed.

At Overstrand APD, we are committed to creating safe, supportive environments where children can learn, grow, and develop the confidence to speak up when something does not feel right. Child protection remains a vital part of our work, and we are grateful for opportunities to educate and empower the children in our care.

Kleinmond Day Care continues to shower our children with love, especially during this festive season. This year, the little ones were delighted to receive Christmas presents, filling their day with joy and excitement.
