🌸The Gardens will be open Fridays to Sundays during the event, 9am to 4pm , last entry at 3:30
16th-18th October - azaleas and rhodies
23rd - 25th October - azaleas and rhodies
13th - 15th November- Roses and a lot of other spring flowers

🌸Open Garden Tickets cost R190, children under 15yrs free.
🌸you will receive a list of participating gardens and a map when you buy your ticket
🌸You may use your ticket during all 3 weekends for multiple visits

The proceeds go towards the maintenance of the Arboretum- our community’s Garden of Love. ❤️
🌸Tickets will be sold at the RED CLAY CAFÈ and at some accommodations.
There is no limit to tickets sold on any day since the Gardens are huge and overcrowding is simply not possible
🌸Open Garden Ticket allows unlimited access to 12 gardens for the duration of your stay so you do not have to rush around all the gardens in 1 day!
🌸 Some gardens will also offer a few delightful extras along the way – think tea, coffee, cheeses, and even a bit of music – so feel free to bring a little extra cash to enjoy these treats.
🌸 You need a vehicle to take yourself to each garden, and all gardens are "self tour". The max distance between gardens is 4km.
🌸Dogs are not permitted in the private gardens.
🌸 Braaing and drinking of alcohol in the private gardens is strictly prohibited. You may picnic in the Arboretum or the Village green BUT STRICTLY no fires 🔥

In Hogsback, the Arboretum serves as a powerful symbol of what can be achieved when a community comes together, fostering a space that is at once unique and captivating.

For over a century, local residents have worked tirelessly to cultivate an extraordinary collection of exotic trees, perfectly complemented by a winding river that enhances the park's allure.

As the seasons change, the park transforms into a kaleidoscope of colour, igniting a sense of wonderment in visitors.

This is a Sugar Maple tree. It is a rare tree and is oftentimes confused with Liquid Amber (very common).
