And then came the mist.....

Mysterious
(an adjective that describes something strange, unknown, or difficult to understand. It often involves a secret or hidden quality that sparks curiosity, confusion, or awe.)
No coincidence then.
Upon waking on a misty morning in the little village of Hogsback, you sense it before you pull back the curtains.
There is a faraway quiet that intensifies the sound of a dew drop falling in a puddle just outside your window.
A loerie calls his mate and you hear the swoop of his wings towards her.
It sounds feathers-brushing-your-cheeks close.
The yellow rose outside your window will be more yellow than it had been the day before, when all was sun and buzzing bees.
You stand, hands cupped around a steaming coffee, looking out over this magical scene and an introspective awe folds around you like so many tendrils of mist.
It might be because the mist makes a microscope of us all. We can only see what's in front of us. And when, what we see is a spray of the creamiest white Arum lilies framed in a netherworld of mist and possibilities, the lens becomes saturated with awe.
Just this here now becomes enough.
