Times of Transformation
As winter comes to its fulfilment, so too does certain parts of our life. Life is a process of seasons and transformation, and even though we die, life itself just continues on……..it doesn’t END!!! For us living, we constantly experience the processes of transformation and rebirth as seasonal changes occurs in our lives. With this said; Jikani itself, is experiencing a shuffle and a change. And a time of closure has come for our Second Time Around Shop, a sad time, but also an exciting time: said with the utmost respect for the years of effort in keeping it running.
We at Jikani especially want to thank Siya Masiza for the time he was shop manager, a task he took on in his stride for many a year. We know that your time here at the second-hand shop might have come to an end Siya, but we hope and have faith that your involvement in Jikani and the Hogsback community continues. You have been a top student in IT training at Jikani, a gentleman at high tea, a part of plastic brick projects and Funda Kuhle, a Jikani Shop Administrator, a printing and scanning service expert, and a TLO trainer for students………and so much more in between. More than 12 years have you been part of Hogsback and Jikani, and we at Jikani, salute you for this.
You ARE humble, dedicated, open to learning and growth. You are a tour guide, a singer, a father, a friend, and a eulogist. May you grow bold and strong into this new season in your life. And may you always hold strong to who you are, and from where you have come. Always know that the Hogsback community and Jikani’s door are open for you, hope to see more of your LOVE around. Keep on inspiring.
Blessings – The Jikani Board
