As a proud partner of SmartStart South Africa we are delighted to celebrate and congratulate our amazing coaches on their well-deserved recognition.

Our coaches play a vital role in developing and uplifting communities. They are constantly on the road, travelling to different communities meeting people, training aspiring franchisees, conducting site visits, and providing ongoing support to ensure that ECD centres meet the required standards and policies.

Through their dedication and commitment, they help develop qualified franchisees who go on to facilitate at the centres and in many cases, establish and run their own ECD centres, creating meaningful opportunities for children and families while making a lasting impact in their communities.

👏🥳To our incredible team, congratulations once again, we are proud of you.

At LETCEE, we believe every learner deserves the opportunity to build a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

Our Closing the Gap Programme for 2026 brought Foundation Phase learners together for interactive literacy and numeracy activities designed to make learning meaningful and enjoyable.

The programme was a great success, with learners actively participating, and demonstrating their skills to learning.

Learners and teachers were recognised with awards and medals for their participation and efforts, celebrating their achievements and inspiring them to keep striving for success.

We would like to thank all the schools of uMzinyathi District Municipality that participated in the programme, we truly appreciate your support.

📖🙌We successfully hosted a Caregivers & Storytelling Workshop in Lilani in celebration of International Literacy Day.

The workshop highlighted the importance of storytelling in developing children’s language, literacy, creativity and communication skills from an early age.

Caregivers were equipped with practical ideas to make reading and storytelling a fun and meaningful part of children’s everyday learning.

Thank you to all the participants who contributed to making the workshop a success.

🥬🥕🥦The LETCEE's Food Security team recently brought the spirit of Green Fingers Day to Bhodlani Centre in Thulini, where the team came together with community members, garden mentors and committees to plant food for the benefit of the children.

The day was a wonderful success, with everyone showing great support for the Green Fingers initiative. The collective effort not only helps strengthen food security at the centre but also encourages communities to work together in creating sustainable sources of nutritious food.

The food grown will contribute towards supporting the children at the centre, and also shared with those who participated in the planting as a way of appreciating and encouraging their valuable contribution.

The team shared words of encouragement, inspiration and motivation, reminding each other that every woman is important, valued, and special in this world.

Together, they reflected on their purpose to inspire change, nurture future generations, overcome challenges and continue making a meaningful difference every day.

As we closing off the Mandela month, on the 18th of July 2026, the LETCEE team proudly dedicated 67 minutes to painting the Matimatolo Toy Library demonstrating that small acts of service can make a lasting impact. This initiative was more than just adding colour to buildings, tyre sandpits, jungle gyms, tyre stepping stones, etc... but it was about creating a brighter, more welcoming space where children can learn, play, entertained and grow.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who generously gave their time, energy, and support in honour of Nelson Mandela's legacy of service.
