💙✨ Able Visits Splash Kids Zone! ✨💙

We were excited to be invited to Splash Kids Zone Aftercare for a fun and meaningful awareness session with our mascot, Able! 🦸‍♂️

The children learned about different types of disabilities, while we opened up important conversations about inclusion, acceptance, respect and understanding. 🌈🤝

We also spoke about how we can treat and interact with persons living with disabilities—with kindness, dignity and respect, while recognising that everyone has different abilities and strengths. 💙

A big thank you to Splash Kids Zone Aftercare for inviting APD George and creating a space where children can learn, ask questions and grow in understanding. 🌟

Together, we can help build a community where everyone belongs, everyone is valued, and everyone is included. 💙♿✨

🦷✨ A Big Thank You! ✨🦷

We had the pleasure of welcoming Yandiswa, an Oral Hygienist, who spent some time with our children for a fun and educational tooth-brushing session. 🪥😁

The children learned about the importance of good oral hygiene and enjoyed brushing their teeth using fluoride gel toothpaste, helping to keep their little smiles strong and healthy. 💙

Yandiswa also generously sponsored each child with toothpaste, a toothbrush, and Protex hand soap. 🪥🧴✨

A heartfelt thank you to Yandiswa for caring for our children and helping us promote healthy habits from a young age. We truly appreciate your kindness and generosity! 💙

And the good news is… Yandiswa will be back at our centre for a follow-up session, where she will continue educating our children and creating awareness around the importance of good oral hygiene. 🦷✨

This Heritage Month, our Women’s Group is celebrating the beautiful diversity that makes South Africa so special. 🇿🇦❤️

We are taking the opportunity to learn about and celebrate different religions, cultures and traditions, while creating a space where everyone feels respected, valued and included. 🕊️🌸

Our differences may shape the way we worship, celebrate and live, but they also give us an opportunity to learn from one another and build stronger communities.

🌺 Different faiths. Different traditions. Different stories. One community. 🤝

Let’s continue to embrace our diversity, celebrate our heritage and remember that unity begins with understanding and respect. ❤️

Men’s support group 💙🫂

𝗠𝗲𝗻 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗲𝗻

The APD Support Group for Men with Disabilities recently reached out to Bethesda and held its monthly meeting at our facility, giving several of our patients the opportunity to join.

The group discussed the qualities and virtues of a good man, sharing experiences, perspectives and encouragement.

💗 A Special Goodbye & A New Beginning 🌸✨

From the entire team at APD GEORGE, Optima day care, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the van der Ross family for spoiling our staff with such a lovely platter and delicious cake. 🥰🎂

Thank you for trusting us with the care of your precious daughter and for allowing us to be part of her journey. It has truly been a joy and a privilege to watch her grow, learn, develop and shine in her own beautiful way. 🌟

While we are going to miss her dearly, we are also incredibly proud and excited as she takes her next big step and begins a new chapter at Carpe Diem School. 🎓💕

May this new journey bring her many wonderful opportunities, friendships, achievements and happy memories. We know she will continue to shine wherever she goes! ✨

🏏💙 Connecting Through Sport! 💙🏏

Our Young Adults had their group session at the office today — and today was all about connecting, having fun and enjoying each other’s company! 😊

The group enjoyed a fun game of cricket, and our ladies REALLY got into it! 😂🏏 They surprised us with some serious cricket skills!

👀 Any cricket coaches out there willing to train us? We might just have some future female cricket stars in the making! 😉🏏✨
