A morning of peace, purpose, and pretty flowers 🌸

For Women’s Month we took time to slow down in nature with a facilitator guiding us to hear God speak.
Then we made bouquets from cardboard + wildflowers — each one representing the unique gifts the Lord has placed in our hands.

We wrapped it up with breakfast at Garden Café and Cottage , gift bags for everyone, and a lucky draw with more surprises.

To our volunteers, foster mothers and caregivers: thank you for being you. Keep blooming.

We have been quiet on here; but working tirelessly to secure placements for vulnerable children. 🌈

One recent success story is of this sweet little boy:
After months of instability, living on the street and being exposed to parents who abuse various substances, he has been placed in temporary safe care.
He can now grow, sleep, and be loved without fear.

To every foster child who completed our behaviour modification program — you showed up, you tried, and you grew. We see you. 💛

A huge thank you to our Social Worker Amelia Dokter and Social Auxiliary Worker Chardonay Phillips for leading this program with such care.

The lengths they go to ensure these children feel safe, seen, and well supported is exceptional. This is what it looks like when children are put first.

Day 1 of our 3-day holiday program with foster children with behavioural difficulties.

For many of these kids, life has felt like a list of labels. This week we’re starting with something different: self-identity. 🧍‍♂️

Through art, story, and play, each child is being invited to answer the most important question first — Who am I, beyond what’s happened to me? 🎨 🎭
