FOUNDER’s Message

70 years ago, 20,000 women marched to the Union Buildings with a clear message: Wathint' umfazi, wathint' imbokodo. They fought to dismantle systems that sought to strip them of their dignity and movement.

Today, as we mark 70 years of that monumental legacy, the battlefront has shifted to cultural reclamation, economic sovereignty, and restoring our rightful thrones.

Through Esigodlweni seziNdlovukazi, our mandate is clear: Sibuyisa uBUKHOSI-KAZI—restoring the foundations of female leadership, dignity, and ancestral pride. We do not ask for a seat at tables that were not built for us; we rebuild our own foundations.

When I initiated the Iphinifa Revolution in 2021, it was never just about a garment. Iphinifa is our armor, our history, and our statement of royal self-worth. It connects the 1956 marchers to the modern woman who owns her space in business, media, and community leadership.

At 53 years—my personal jubilee year—I stand as proof that a woman grounded in her roots is unstoppable. Through the KZN Women Authors Forum, we are ensuring that this generation does not rely on others to write our history. We are documenting our own truths, our own triumphs, and our own power for generations to come.

We are the mothers, the leaders, and the rightful Queens of this land. 👑✨
