Ingane Yami (meaning "My Child" in Zulu) is a Children's Village located in Shongweni/Dassenhoek KZN. Our vision is to rescue previously orphaned and abandoned children and restore the life that God intended for them. Through the love of a mom, a safe environment, being introduced to God as their father and an excellent education, our children's God-given potential is realized. At Ingane Yami our

children are not just a faceless number, but they are a prized and cherished individual, that God knows by name.

Freedom Day 🇿🇦

Today, as we reflect on how far we’ve come as a nation, we’re filled with hope for all that still lies ahead.

At Ingane Yami, we’re especially reminded that our children have been given an opportunity for true freedom — the freedom to grow, to dream, and to become all that God has created them to be.

Our prayer is that they would embrace this freedom fully, walking boldly into the future with courage; healed and whole, knowing to whom they belong.

Our 4 littlest have started preschool 🙌🏼
Our 3 Gr R boys moved up to the Big School 💪🏻
Which means we now have 16 in our Jr & Sr Primary school 🫶
And our 8 high schoolers are continuing to plug away in high school 👊🏼

It’s not just incentive-driven generosity or being moved by guilt.
It’s deeper than that.
