This Saturday morning was the Cheshire home’s annual fundraising Fete. Amy Angels took a break from their books to assist in this truly deserving occasion. Besides doing the curry and rice, the scones and cream. As a special treat, all attendees were allowed to spin Amy’s wheel of Love where everyone won Marshmallow eggs and soft toys. This was very much enjoyed by old and young alike.

Thank you Angels for contributing to such a successful event. We wish you well with your exams which have already started. Thank you spreading Love and Kindness.

This is what we do at the Hostel on Sunday after church. Oom is checking up on scholars and seeing if they are needing any assistance. For lunch the students are treated to KFC. Study hard, because this will make a difference to you and your future.

We are already preparing for our annual visit from Abraham Kriel Children’s home this December. The planning and organising has already started, making sure every detail is just right for the children.

This week, Irvin and Therese with past Amy Bell graduates, Litha who used of her vacation and Charneen who already assists at Amy Bell provided assistance in buying and loading of the goods in the trailer.

As usual, stopping at Chargo in Colesburg gives us a well deserved break but more importantly a chance to enjoy delicious pies, goodies and refreshments. We were presently surprised when Chargo owner, Charles took time to come and greet us. Dankie Charles, “Hulle weet nie wat ons weet nie.”

Love and kindness knows no boundaries. The Amy’s Angels spent the Saturday morning at Cheshire Home. Sharing time, care and gentle moments with the residents.

The residents were treated to a little pampering, with neat manicures, freshly trimmed nails and colours that brought so much life to the room. There were smiles, laughter, and quiet conversations that made the morning feel soft and special.

Truly a lovely morning and the joy on the residents’ faces said it all. Moments like these remind us the powerful impact of showing up with love and kindness that knows no boundaries.

In times of catastrophe, you can always count on special people 💖

Last Wednesday for the second time, Summerstrand and other areas were delivered a devastating blow when electrical towers collapsed and these areas were put on rotational electricity for 2 hours in every 8 hours, already for 10 days. Making studying, cooking and staying impossible.

Tam Student Housing and Amy’s Angels came into the assistance of students. Charging stations were set up for the students, allowing them to charge their devices by use of generators thus allowing students to continue with their work. At the same time, Amy’s Angels prepared sandwiches, as many students were unable to make food due to the lack of electricity.

On Friday, TAM Student Housing, The Angels and the South African National Blood Service held a blood drive at TSH premises. A total of 114 students participated in this life saving event.

With the busy Easter season approaching, this kind of support makes a real and immediate difference, love and kindness.

Radio Algoa FM was also present on the premises to add awareness and energy to the initiative. Thank you all, we look forward to hosting the next blood drive in the second term, sometime in May.

Spreading LOVE and KINDNESS

Having visited Cheshire Home twice already, the Amy Angels spent joyful mornings helping with breakfast, sharing stories while doing arts and crafts, and filling the room with laughter. As always, the Angels treated the residents to sweet treats and lively conversations, bringing smiles all around.

Both the residents and the Angels truly enjoyed the visit, with the usual theme of love and kindness making every morning even more special.

Back to school means honouring our mission, upliftment through education at Amy Bell Children’s Centre 📚

Our kindergarten, preschool and school classrooms are once again filled with laughter and bright young faces. There is something so special about seeing our learners walk through those doors with eager hearts that are ready to grow and excel. Every desk filled is a reminder of why we do what we do.

At the Amy Bell Hostel, our high school scholarship recipients have also settled back in and ready to strive, not only striving academically, but also growing spiritually through our weekly Bible study.

We believe deeply in upliftment through education. When young minds are nurtured, supported and encouraged, they rise. They study harder. They dream bigger. They achieve more.

And of course, with school in full swing, our kitchens are busy again too, preparing meals for hundreds of learners every single day.

Thank you to everyone who walks this journey with us. The year has begun, and we are excited to impact more lives.
