Pumpkin Latte when she thinks nobody’s watching 🥹🎃☕️
Her foster mama has been sneakily filming this little lady being her true, carefree self with her babies, and our hearts can’t cope. ❤️
Pumpkin Latte is very much a feral mama, and when she feels scared or threatened by humans, she lets us know (see previous reel on our page lol). But here, in a place where she feels safe, we get to see another side of her. A playful, loving mama who can just be herself and enjoy her babies without fear. 🥹
Sadly, Pumpkin Latte won’t be looking for an adoptive home herself. Once her kittens are healthy enough to be separated from her, she’ll be spayed and returned to her familiar environment, where she can live out her life without having to go through pregnancy and raising litter after litter.
And this is the reality for so many cats out there. Cats like Pumpkin Latte aren’t bad, broken or undeserving of love. They’re simply scared, too old to be tamed, and trying to survive in a world that hasn’t always been kind to them. And every litter born to an unspayed cat means more kittens who could end up facing the same uncertain future.
Spaying saves lives. Please, if you have a cat, make sure they’re spayed. And if you’re feeding a stray or feral colony, look into trap, neuter and return (TNR) programmes in your area. You could prevent so many little lives from suffering. 🐾
For now, Pumpkin Latte gets to be a mama, her babies get to grow up safe, and we get these precious little glimpses of the beautiful life happening behind the scenes. 🤎
