2026 Nelson Mandela Day

The 100% Foundation and Rise Against Hunger Africa made an impactful statement on the 18th of July 2026 when they rose like happy warriors to fight against the scourge of hunger.

Assisted by over 100 volunteers, members of the organisations filled up Wesley Hall at Northfield Methodist Church, rolled up their sleeves and worked hard to pack 70 000 nutritious meals to be distributed to 92 beneficiaries.

We recognise that access to proper school attire plays an important role in promoting dignity and enabling learners to focus on their education.
This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to uplifting communities and investing in the future of young learners. We are honoured to partner with the school and make a meaningful difference in the lives of its students. Literacy in primary school is a vital foundation for a child’s growth and development. Through reading, children are introduced to new ideas, language, and imagination, helping them build confidence and a love for learning. Storytelling allows them to express themselves, understand different perspectives, and develop creativity, while also strengthening their listening and communication skills.

Incorporating crafts into literacy activities makes learning more engaging and interactive. We spent some time doing literacy work with the learners at Chief Luthuli Primary School.
