🃏 Bridge Tournament Fun!🃏

It was a wonderful afternoon filled with friendly competition, laughter, great company and, of course, some serious bridge skills! ♠️♥️♦️♣️

❤️ A Little Generosity Can Make a BIG Difference!❤️

The Rotary Anns held their first food collection at Oakfields Pick n Pay, and what an incredible response we received from the community! 🛒🥫

The public was unbelievably generous, and together we collected an amazing 8 large trolleys filled with non-perishable food and essential goods!🙌❤️

This morning, our Rotary Anns got together to sort and organise everything, ready to be distributed to organisations and people in our community who need it most.

The donations will be delivered to:
✨ **Rynpark 1 Pensioners**
✨ **Salvation Army**
✨ **Salvation Army Crèche**
✨ **Colin House – Child Welfare**
✨ **Urban Ruins**
✨ **Angel Grace**

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who opened their hearts and donated. Every tin, packet, box and bag may seem small, but together they make a tremendous difference. ❤️

We are so proud of what our community can achieve when we come together to support those in need.

Restoring Sight, Making a Difference 👁️💙

Judy Bath from the Rotary Ann's and Robin Bath (Honorary Rotarian) had the privilege of delivering 40 lenses to Dr Agnes and the new CEO, Mrs Malakane, on behalf of the Rotarians and the Anns.

Dr Agnes continues to work incredibly hard, with 50 patients scheduled for eye tests and examinations today alone. She was deeply moved when we handed over the 40 lenses in the diopters she had requested.

We are also delighted to welcome the support of the new CEO, Mrs Malakane, who is fully behind Dr Agnes and the incredible work she is doing.

A huge thank you to everyone who pulled out all the stops to ensure these lenses reached Dr Agnes on time. Your support is helping make a very real difference in people's lives.

Last week, Dr Agnes shared an incredible story with us — she was able to restore the sight of a 55-year-old lady who had been blind for nine years. ❤️

This is exactly what Rotary is about: creating lasting impact, restoring hope and doing great work in our community.

Together, we are definitely Doing Great Work! 💙

A wonderful morning of laughter, smiles and wonderful company! ❤️
Our Rotary Ann’s had the privilege of taking some of the pensioners from Salvation Army out for a lovely breakfast, and what a special morning it was. ☕🥐
It was so heartwarming to spend time together, share stories, enjoy a few laughs and simply appreciate the joy that comes from good company. Moments like these remind us that sometimes the greatest gift we can give is our time and a little bit of kindness. 💕

Learning Through Play! 🧩❤️

On Monday morning, Jill Walden and Maria Pinho had the privilege of taking Sylvia, a teacher from the Salvation Army Creche, to Olivedale for an incredible Early Childhood Development training session using LEGO.

It was an amazing experience for Sylvia and for both of us as we learnt how something as simple as LEGO can become such a powerful tool for teaching, developing creativity, problem-solving, communication and learning through play. 🧱✨

And the best part? As a result of this wonderful initiative, the Salvation Army Creche was gifted two LEGO Play Boxes, each valued at R10,000!🎉

That’s R20,000 worth of learning, creativity and endless possibilities for the children at the creche. ❤️

This is exactly what Rotary is about — creating opportunities, empowering educators and making a lasting difference in the lives of children. We are so grateful to have been part of such a meaningful project and cannot wait to see all the wonderful things the children will create and learn through play!
