UNITED AGAINST GENDER BASED VIOLENCE

Join us for "Voices for Change" as we use the power of role play, poetry, and music to raise awareness, inspire hope, and stand together against gender based violence.

Every voice matters. Every story deserves to be heard. Together, we can break the silence, challenge harmful norms, and build safer communities for women, children, and all vulnerable groups.

Day 2 & 3 of the GBV Ambassadors Training 💜

These past two days were powerful and eye opening. We deepened our understanding of Gender Based Violence and learned how to better support survivors in our communities.

Some of the important topics we covered included:
• Understanding gender and gender based violence
• Types of violence and gender norms in society
• Guiding principles when working with GBV survivors
• Risk assessment and referral pathways
• Child protection
• The Domestic Violence Act and GBV policies
• The role and responsibilities of a GBV Ambassador

This training is equipping us with knowledge and tools to stand up, speak out, and support those affected by GBV. Real change begins in our communities, and we are grateful to be part of the journey toward safer and stronger communities.

Day 1 of our 3-day GBV Ambassadors Training hosted by Social Development 🙌🏽

Today we focused on emotional awareness, effective communication, building self-esteem, and conflict management. Powerful conversations. Deep reflections. Real growth.

As someone passionate about community work and standing against GBV, this training is not just information,it’s empowerment. It starts with understanding ourselves so we can better support others.
Healing communities begins with healed, confident voices. 💜

Class of 2025 🎓

Today we remind our young people that results do not define their worth.
Passing is worth celebrating, and not passing is not a failure, it is a moment to regroup and rise again.

As a community standing against GBV, we encourage support, not blame, hope, not pressure, and care, not silence.

Every child deserves encouragement, safety, and a second chance.

Class of 2025, your future still matters 🫰

31/12/2025

As we come to the end of the year, we reflect with gratitude, hope, and renewed commitment.

This year showed us that change is possible. We are thankful that there was no GBV related murder in our community, a powerful sign that awareness, education, and community action are making a difference. It reminds us that when we speak up, support one another, and take responsibility, lives can be protected.

While we acknowledge this progress, we remain aware that Gender Based Violence does not end with one season or one campaign. The work continues beyond the 16 Days of Activism and into every day of the year.

Let us carry this momentum into the new year, choosing respect over abuse, silence over speaking out, and unity over fear. Together, we can continue building safer, stronger communities for women and children.

The event was a huge success, filled with joy and learning.

We planted Seeds of Respect 🌱through games, learning, jumping castles, and positive messages, children were taught that respect, kindness, and speaking up matter.

A big thank you to everyone who supported and attended. Prevention starts with our children.
