Unemployment is the one issue South Africans worry about the most. Especially those of us who are unemployed. There is a solution and it is called the Job Seekers Exemption Certificate.

It says we have the right to decide for ourselves who we will work for, what wages we will work for, what conditions we will work in. Some say that is our God-given right.

We pray that politicians will see that it makes sense. That they will restore us our freedom to choose for ourselves how to feed our families. That they will remove the burdens of the labour laws that they have imposed on us. Until such time that we are back on our feet.

We need a new dispensation for the millions upon millions of unemployed people in South Africa. Especially for the youth and the long term unemployed.

Give us our Job Seekers Exemption Certificates.

According to the recent Ipsos What Worries the World survey, a total of 69% of South Africans cite unemployment as their top worry, as opposed to 41% of the rest of world who chose inflation as their top worry...

It is common cause that the economy is in dire straits: year-on-year growth has fallen to 1.6%.
