Their courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to freedom will never be forgotten.
This Memorial Day, may we reflect with gratitude, live with purpose, and carry forward the values they so bravely defended.

As, Shari beautifully shared: “Today I don’t have to worry about any of that stuff. It’s such an incredible gift.”

We’re especially proud that this meaningful moment was made possible by the amazing volunteers of our Sail Beyond Cancer Virginia chapter during their very first season last summer!

Today, Sail Beyond Cancer is five chapters, one mission—and together, we are making a difference for people like Shari One Sail at a Time. 💙

Sail Beyond Cancer USA offers free sailing trips to cancer patients and their loved ones, giving them a day of freedom on the water.

It’s National Volunteer Week 🎉 Our dedicated crew of volunteers are the heart of our mission, and today we want to give a special shoutout to Ken Zemba ⚓

Working tirelessly behind the scenes, Ken has played an incredible role in helping Sail Beyond Cancer USA grow stronger and more efficient from the ground up. His dedication, insight, and willingness to give so much of his time and energy have made a lasting impact across our entire organization.

We will be joined by Jonathan Rullan of Livin Beyond Limits—someone who truly embodies resilience and strength. As a participant of his own cancer sail, Jonathan has experienced our mission firsthand, and we’re so excited to have him now stepping into a volunteer role to be the HOST of this new series!
