Congratulations to Troop 26686, who completed their final Bridging Ceremony! The troop celebrated with a late morning brunch, a pinning ceremony, a candle ceremony, a final friendship circle, a few gifts and thank yous, a fun Kahoot game celebrating 13 years of memories, and, of course, a final “Linger” by the campfire. The candle ceremony was made even more special as the candle used to “pass the flame” was initially used in a Gold Award Ceremony by their former teen Leader, Samantha, their current leader’s daughter.
13 years of Girl Scouting is a long time to create a few really awesome memories, and Troop 26686 definitely did just that. Each of these young women has left their mark on the Morning Star Service Unit. If there’s anything for certain, it is that these young women will make the world a better place. They are incredible human beings who will do amazing things!
Their Leaders sent the troop off with a few lessons from over the years, such as always be kind; don’t be afraid to fail; try new things; life isn’t always fair; give back; some rules are meant to broken; laugh; slow down; “self talk for the win”; life is hard; be silly; anything can be an adventure; and to ALWAYS pack an extra pair of pants (IYKYK)!
Cheers to 13 years of Girl Scout Troop 26686!
