The Aggies family is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Legendary Wendell Rams Mighty Mite Coach Tookie Gullie.

Our heartfelt sympathies go out to the entire Wendell Rams organization, his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched. Coach Gullie dedicated a lifetime (50+ years) of selfless service to youth football, the East Wake Football league, and the broader community. Mentoring young athletes, building character, and leaving an enduring legacy of leadership and kindness.

He will be greatly missed. Rest in peace, Coach.

🎄 Zebulon Christmas Parade Announcement 🎄

The Town of Zebulon is proud to announce Garry H. Hailey Jr. as the 2025 Zebulon Christmas Parade Grand Marshal.

Hailey is a licensed school social worker with Wake County Public Schools, serving at Zebulon GT Magnet Elementary School. Known for his compassion, leadership, and unwavering commitment to the well-being of Zebulon’s youth, he has become a trusted advocate for students, families, and staff throughout our community.

The Zebulon Christmas Parade will take place Sunday, Dec. 14, at 3 p.m.

🚧 Traffic advisory:
Arendell Avenue will be closed between Temple Johnson Road and Barbee Street beginning at 1 p.m.

Roads along the parade route will be closed beginning at 2:30 p.m.

Please plan ahead, expect delays, and use alternate routes when traveling through the downtown area. 🎄🚧

The Town of Zebulon has announced the recipients of its first Non-Profit Mini-Grant Program, awarding $20,000 to organizations whose work supports Vision 2030 and enhances services for residents.

The inaugural grant cycle provided two $5,000 grants and five $2,000 grants. Applications were evaluated through a blind-review scoring process completed by a 3-member committee appointed by the Board of Commissioners, with final approval by the Board.
The first-ever grant recipients are:

$5,000 awardees
• Boys & Girls Club
• Zebulon United Methodist Church
$2,000 awardees
• Knightdale-Wake Forest Education
• Zebulon Aggies Football and Cheer
• Operation Restoration Inc.
• URBIVOR
• Zebulon Downtown Arts Council

The grant recipients were honored during the Town’s Candy Cane Lane celebration on Saturday, Nov. 22,.

The Mini-Grant Program provides financial support to non-profit agencies that directly benefit Zebulon residents and advance community priorities, including youth services, education, family health, transportation and engagement with traditionally underserved populations. Funded organizations must submit quarterly progress and financial reports demonstrating project impact.

The 2026 grant cycle will open soon, with application details to be announced on the Town’s website and social media platforms.
