Earlier this week, the Policy Center for Maternal Mental Health released the 2026 State Report Cards. North Carolina received a C. 🔵
While this is a slight improvement from our C- grade over the past two years, the message is clear: there is still significant work to do for maternal families across our state.
A "C" means we are making incremental progress in screening and policy, but it also means too many parents are still falling through the cracks when it comes to finding providers, accessing treatment, and securing foundational support.
At PSI-NC, we are working every day to so that a "C" state doesn't mean a failing grade for your mental health. Progress is good, but our goal is a comprehensive, thriving village for every single parent in North Carolina.
You deserve an A+ network of support. And if you are struggling today, you don't have to wait for the system to catch up—we are here for you right now. Click here to access free, immediate peer support groups and local NC resources: bio.site/PSINC
