💛 Thank You to Our Media Champions at KYMA-TV! 💛

We are so grateful to our media champions at KYMA for helping us share our month-long Connection Is Prevention campaign as we recognize Su***de Awareness Month.

In this special interview, Ginny Legros shares an important message with our community about the power of human connection and how simply being there for one another can make a difference. 💛

A conversation. A check-in. A listening ear. A reminder that someone matters. Connection can be prevention.

💛 If you or someone you know needs support, call or text 988 to connect with the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline.

Thank you, KYMA, for helping us spread awareness, strengthen connection, and build a healthier, more connected Yuma County.

💛 Connection Is Prevention. Be there. Reach out. Stay connected.

You Don't Have to Have All the Answers
Sometimes the most important thing you can say is:
"I'm here."
Listening without judgment can make a tremendous difference for someone experiencing emotional pain.
You don't need to fix everything.
You simply need to let them know they aren't alone.
💛 Listen.
💛 Stay present.
💛 Encourage professional help when needed.

💜 Community Spotlight & Gratitude
YCADC is proud to recognize and thank one of our incredible community champions—The City of Yuma Government—for standing alongside us in the fight to prevent overdose and raise awareness across Yuma County.
In support of International Overdose Awareness Day and our shared commitment to saving lives, City Hall will be lit purple on [INSERT DATE] as part of our community-wide lighting campaign. This powerful visual reminder represents remembrance, hope, and action for all those impacted by overdose.
Landmarks lighting up purple is more than symbolic—it’s a message to our community that prevention matters, recovery is possible, and no one walks this journey alone.
We are grateful for partners like the City of Yuma who continue to show up, lead with compassion, and help amplify awareness efforts that truly make a difference.
Together, we are building a stronger, more informed, and more connected Yuma County. 💜
