The Yucaipa Valley Art Association is local art and photography organization that promotes the arts in the community. Meetings are held at the Scherer Community Center in Yucaipa from Sept-May. Each year they hold a spring art show for members and the public to participate in. The organization awards educational scholarships to graduating high school students annually. Artists can bring their supplies, projects and paint this summer on Wednesday’s from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the Scherer Community Center located at 12202 First St, Yucaipa. Classes are free for adults.

Another First! for YVAA. This association has been giving scholarships for as long as I can remember but never let the community know who was receiving them and who was responsible for the scholarship. Way to go Zully Martinez.

On June 2, 2026, YVAA awarded two scholarships to graduating high school students. Thanks to the fundraising efforts of volunteers, our sponsors and members we made this possible. Congrats to the two students that received awards!
