Scott Fredericks is a certified Pennsylvania EMS Instructor and a retired AEMT with 36 years of service. He is the owner of Emergency Medical Training of York & Adams, a CPR and First Aid training business based in West York. Scott is married to his wife, Linda.
What sets Scott’s training center apart from others is his commitment to bringing training directly to participants. He believes that incorporating fun into the learning process helps students learn in a comfortable, stress-free environment rather than through drill-sergeant-style instruction. Many of his classes are hands-on, allowing students to manipulate equipment and supplies while gaining an understanding of how and when to use them effectively.
Scott joined the Coalition to help educate individuals diagnosed with diabetes. He provides verbal instruction on how to use a blood glucose monitoring device and how to safely dispose of supplies afterward. He believes it is important for everyone to understand how to monitor glucose levels and respond appropriately during a diabetic emergency.
Scott also enjoys attending public relations events throughout York County to educate community members and provide information about setting up lifesaving classes.
