Whether you're an environmental advocate or simply curious about the future of our waterways, this free event offers a chance to learn, share ideas, and support organizations working to protect our region's most valuable resource.

Global Wellness Day encourages people to prioritize their well-being, and make healthy choices that support a happier, more balanced life. 🌿✨🧘‍♀️

Today is a great reminder that wellness can take many forms: taking a walk, spending time outdoors, connecting with others, supporting local businesses, or enjoying fresh and nutritious food.

As you celebrate, consider exploring your community, visiting a local farmers market, or stopping by Gem City Market to support the people and organizations working to build a healthier, more food-secure Miami Valley.

June is National Pollinator Month! 🌼 🐝

Pollinators like bees play a vital role in the food we eat and the ecosystems we depend on. From fruits and vegetables to flowering plants, many of our crops rely on pollinators to thrive.

This month, we celebrate the hardworking bees, butterflies, birds, and other pollinators that help keep our food system growing. By planting native flowers, reducing pesticide use, and supporting local farms, we can all help protect these essential species.

Together, we can build a healthier, more resilient food future one pollinator at a time. 🌎 💛

According to Feeding America, individuals from LGBTQ+ communities are twice as likely to face hunger. Barriers to resources, along with the impacts of marginalization, can also affect overall well-being, including mental health.

Fortunately, there are amazing resources here in the Miami Valley. HHI has worked with Have A Gay Day food pantry for years and we are proud to be recognized with their "Partnership in Action Award" for our collaboration.

Have a Gay Day is truly inclusive, providing food to anyone who is hungry. They partnered with Door Dash to offer food delivery service for those who can't get out, a service that is in such demand there is always a waiting list. They even offer a free laundry service! Partners like Have a Gay Day bring together needed resources and a heart for the entire community.
