The smiles on their faces say it all!!

The kids in the summer program at Acumen Therapeutics had the opportunity to learn how to play from stringed instruments with the Miami Valley Symphony Orchestra.

It’s a weekly program where the kids can learn how to play different stringed instruments (and hopefully fall in love with playing music).

We’re so grateful to the Miami Valley Orchestra for volunteering to do this, and so happy to share it with the kids from Acumen. 💛

Summer may be here, but hunger doesn't take a vacation.

Every month, our dedicated volunteers continue to pack and distribute bags of food through FLOC's **Blessings in a Bag** program, ensuring children have access to nutritious meals when school is out and resources may be limited.

Thanks to the generosity of our community, this program helps provide food for **350 children every month**, giving families one less thing to worry about and helping kids return to school ready to learn and thrive.

A simple bag of food can make a world of difference.

There’s something special about gathering around the kitchen table.

Through FLOC’s cooking classes, children and families learn valuable life skills, build confidence, and create memories that last far beyond the recipe. These hands-on experiences help teach responsibility, teamwork, nutrition, and independence - one meal at a time.

Backpack season is officially underway!

Our amazing volunteers are hard at work getting school supplies organized for FLOC's **Tools for School** program - because every child deserves to start the school year prepared and confident.

Last year, thanks to the incredible support of our community, we provided **1,000 backpacks filled with school supplies** to children across the Miami Valley. This year, we're working to make an even bigger impact!

There’s something special about seeing community leaders pour their hearts into a mission that changes lives.

Doug and Beth Mann recently spent time in the Book Nook at FLOC, a place where children can discover the joy of reading and the power of possibility. Their continued support means so much to the thousands of children and families we serve every year.

It's almost that time again...and we're excited about our FREE summer series for kids with PBS Kids!
For the past several years now, we have offered free programming to help prevent the "Summer Slide"...and it's lots of fun, too.
We're hoping you'll help us spread the word to people you know with little folks who would love to experience the cinema-going experience at no cost (and walk away with free books, participate in activities, and more).
You'll see that each week is a bit different...the first week is geared more toward younger kids (with DANIEL TIGER) and the last week is geared toward older elementary students (with WILD KRATTS)...but anyone is welcome at any of the events. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns.
