Looking for some prayers, love & support for our goat Billy! 🐐💙 Last Sunday we noticed he was off and suspected a urinary blockage, which is a life threatening emergency for a male goat. We rushed him to UFVet, he was diagnosed with a blockage and large kidney stone in his urethra, and he had emergency surgery with a surgical team called in at midnight. They placed a Foley catheter to reroute his flow which stays in for 2 weeks. That kidney stone isn’t in a great place, and it’s still in there, but hoping with reduced inflammation it can be flushed out soon. Billy was depressed & going off food, so he came home Saturday and was doing really well, eating, and his personality was returning, until he started spiking fevers. The fear is an infection and he needs IV antibiotics, so we had to bring him back to UFVet tonight. If you can say a prayer for him, send some good vibes, and possibly donate to his care, we would really appreciate it. The bill leaving UFVet was $3500 and now we are going back. Billy has spent his life with us and we hope to have many more years with him. 🙏 Thank you for caring!
