💔🐾 Good Morning Everyone. Happy Saturday. 🐾💔

We wanted to give everyone an update on little 🖤 Van Gogh 🖤 — the tiny kitten with half of his face missing and his ear hanging. 😭

From what the vets are seeing, it appears this poor baby was attacked by something and literally torn apart. 💔

Van Gogh only weighs 1.7 pounds. He is not even 2 pounds yet. Imagine the pain and suffering this tiny kitten had to endure all alone outside. It is absolutely heartbreaking. 😭

We are so thankful someone found him and brought him to the shelter because honestly… he likely would have died slowly out there suffering. 💔

Right now there is:🐾 Severe inflammation🐾 Severe infection🐾 Extensive trauma to his face and ear

He will likely need major reconstructive surgery to try and put everything back together… but at this moment there are no guarantees if surgery will work or even what the outcome will be. 😞

We will have more answers Monday once Dr. Rick is able to fully assess everything further. Right now the most important thing is:❤️ Keeping him comfortable❤️ Controlling his pain❤️ Letting the inflammation go down❤️ Slowly and gently cleaning the wounds

Despite everything this baby has endured… he is alert, eating, drinking, and fighting. 😭🐾

Please continue praying for Van Gogh. We are hoping euthanasia does NOT become the only option for this little fighter. 💔

And yes… I know many people say:“Take a break.”“Stop taking cases.”“Say no.”

Trust me… I know. 😞

Our vet bill is extremely high and every time we raise money, another critical cat comes needing help. The bill never fully goes down because the emergencies never stop.

But when you look at a tiny baby like this facing euthanasia… it is so hard to walk away. My heart just cannot do it. 😭

I know eventually I will need to step back and breathe because emotionally, physically, mentally, and financially… I am exhausted. I truly have nothing left to give of myself right now. 💔

🚨💔 URGENT URGENT PLEASE READ — GRAPHIC WARNING 💔🚨

Today around 4:40 PM we received an urgent call from the shelter about a tiny 7-week-old black panther kitten who was going to be euthanized. 💔🐾

We have named him 🖤 VAN Gogh 🖤

Van Gogh was found stray on the streets with HALF OF HIS FACE AND EAR MISSING. 😭

We believe this poor baby may have been mauled by a dog because the injuries are absolutely horrific. His skin is hanging, part of his face is gone, and this tiny baby has endured unimaginable pain in only the first few weeks of his life. 💔

The shelter had reached out to other rescues for help… but unfortunately no one had room for a case this severe. 😞

Then they contacted us.

And as many of you know… I just cannot say no to cats in need. I can’t let them die without trying. Even with our vet bill already sky high, I just couldn’t turn my back on him. 😭

We immediately contacted 🏥 Waterford Lakes Animal Hospital 🏥 to ask if they would help despite our very high balance…

And THANK GOD they said YES. 🙏❤️‍🩹

VanGogh💙 was rushed over immediately before his euthanasia deadline.

This baby is ONLY 7 weeks old.Not even 8 weeks old yet. 💔

Right now:🐾 He is hospitalized🐾 On pain medication🐾 Receiving supportive care🐾 Having his wounds cleaned and treated🐾 Being monitored closely by Dr. Rick and staff

Unfortunately, Vangu will likely need extensive reconstructive surgery. 😭 We do not know yet if he will lose his ear completely or how much reconstruction his little face will need.

But tonight he is SAFE. 🖤

And now we are begging for help because we know this medical care is going to be extremely expensive.

🌞💔 GOOD MORNING FOLLOWERS & HAPPY $5 FRIDAY 💔🌞

We are going to try to keep this as simple and honest as possible this morning. 😞🐾

As many of you know:🐾 Simon was taken in yesterday as an urgent medical case🐾 Gary remains hospitalized after needing his eye enucleation surgery🐾 And TODAY… six cats are being discharged from the hospital.

Just those SIX cats alone are leaving behind a balance of almost 🚨 $7,000 🚨

Yes… you read that right. 💔

Our overall bill had finally gone down to around 💲14,000 and we truly felt hopeful that maybe we could finally bring it down to our goal of $10,000…

But rescue never stops. 😞Medical emergencies never stop.Cats needing help never stop.

🚨 URGENT DONATIONS NEEDED FOR SIMON 🚨
💔 DEADLINE WAS TODAY AT 5 PM 💔

We were really trying to take a step back from helping more cats right now because our vet bill is already extremely high… but then there was Simon. 😞

Simon has been sitting at the shelter for a long time with a fractured hip, possibly hit by a car. Yesterday we were notified that NO rescue had come forward for him and that his euthanasia deadline was today at 5 PM.

We could not let him die. 💔

So yes… even though we know we are overwhelmed… even though we know the bill keeps climbing… we said YES to Simon because he deserved a chance. 🐾

Simon is a sweet, friendly boy who has been sitting in pain waiting for someone to save him. If we had said no, Simon would have been euthanized simply because no one came for him. 😭

Right now Simon urgently needs:

➡️ FIV/FELV testing
➡️ Pain management
➡️ Possible surgery or strict cage rest depending on the extent of the injury

🐾💔 JASPER UPDATE 💔🐾

Good morning, followers. We wanted to come here and give everyone an update on sweet Jasper since so many of you have been following his story. 🙏

Jasper is doing a little bit better. He is currently on seizure medication, steroids, and pain medication. Right now he is stable, eating, drinking, and today he is being discharged from the hospital. 🐱❤️

After discussing everything with Dr. Rick, we have decided NOT to move forward with an MRI. Unfortunately, an MRI would cost around $5,000, and our rescue simply does not have those funds right now with such a high vet bill already hanging over us. 💸

Even if we moved forward with an MRI and it confirmed a tumor, there is sadly very little that could be done besides keeping Jasper comfortable, which is exactly what we are doing now with steroids, medications, and supportive care. Dr. Rick also does not recommend putting Jasper through sedation with all the neurological issues he already has. There is no guarantee we would even get answers, and no guarantee it would change anything for him. 💔

At this time, we are looking for an EXPERIENCED foster home for Jasper ONLY — not adoption. We would love for him to have a quiet, loving home where he can continue being monitored closely and receive his medications. We can teach you how to medicate him, and the rescue will continue covering his veterinary care if needed. 🏡🐾

Please understand, I did not want to euthanize Jasper and I still do not. But if he declines again in the future, we will have to make the most humane decision for him so he does not suffer. At this moment, however, he is stable and we are hopeful the medications continue helping him. 🙏

We were able to place the $2,000 raised directly onto Jasper’s account, and we are beyond grateful for everyone who donated and shared his story. Unfortunately, his bill continues increasing due to boarding, medications, repeat bloodwork, and discharge medications. We are now facing an additional estimated $500 balance for his ongoing care. 😢
