Rugby is a fast paced, fun, safe and exciting sport. Legendary founder of the sport, William Webb Ellis,
was a student at England’s Rugby School. He created the game when breaking the rules of soccer by
picking up the ball and running with it. Rugby’s ultimate prize, The World Cup trophy, now bears his

and the Rugby World Cup is the third most watched sporting event in the world. Rugby in the USA has
been growing steadily and there are now over 60,000 registered players in America. Youth Rugby:

Grade Levels:
Youth: 5th through 7th - 13 years of age and under as of September 1 of the current school year. Junior: 8th through 9th - 15 years of age and under as of September 1 of the current school year.

FALL 7s STARTS THIS THURSDAY!

Berks County Rugby is looking for players for our High School Boys, High School Girls & U16 Fall 7s teams!

NEW PLAYERS ARE WELCOME — NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED!

Never played rugby before? That’s okay. Come out, give it a try, and see why so many athletes fall in love with this game.

All you need to bring is:
🏉 Cleats
💧 Water
🦷 Mouthpiece
🔥 A willingness to learn and compete!

Rugby is different.

It’s a sport you can play for years, with friendships that can last a lifetime. It’s a community. A family. And for players who want to take it further, rugby can create opportunities to play in college and even represent your country. 🇺🇸

In fact, 5 current and former Berks County Rugby players have been selected to the USA U18 team or USA u18 player pool.

Berks County Rugby is RECRUITING PLAYERS for the upcoming FALL 7s SEASON!

Want to play the fast-paced, exciting version of rugby they play in the Olympics? 🇺🇸 This is your chance!

We’re looking for players for:

HS Boys 7s
HS Girls 7s
U16 7s

NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! Whether you’ve played rugby for years or have never picked up a rugby ball, we want you to come out and give it a try.

PRACTICE
Starts Thursday, August 27th
7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
The Quarry Field

Practices will be held Thursday nights throughout the Fall 7s season.

🏆 11/7 & 11/8 – STATE CHAMPIONSHIP

Tournaments are played on Sundays, leading up to the State Championship weekend!

Rugby is about more than what happens on the field. It’s about teamwork, toughness, confidence, competition and becoming part of a family.
