🎉 We've reached $100,000! 🎉

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, we've officially reached $100,000 toward our goal of $150,000 for this year's Walk Ride Run.

Behind every dollar raised are real people. David's House serves 77 individuals, and every gift helps provide compassionate care, meaningful opportunities, community, and a place to call home.

Happy National Dog Day!

Earlier this week, we were excited to welcome Arlo and Sierra from West Michigan Therapy Dogs, Inc. to David's House. Their visit brought plenty of smiles, pets, snuggles, and joy to our community. This year marks the 40th official David's House Walk Ride Run!

What began in 1986 as a walk-a-thon to raise funds for a van for our first home has grown into one of David's House Ministries' largest annual fundraisers. Over the years, the event has taken many forms, from miles-long walks, rides, and runs that ended with a community meal to today's month-long activity and fundraising challenge. Through it all, one thing has remained the same: a community coming together to support David's House and the individuals who call it home.

Even before the first residents moved into their home, people came together to support the vision of David's House. We are grateful for the families, staff, volunteers, donors, churches, businesses, and friends who have walked alongside this mission over the past 40+ years. Their support has helped create opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to experience care, connection, and belonging.

There's still time to be part of this year's challenge by setting activity and fundraising goals, supporting a resident team, or making a gift.

We hope you'll join us on September 12 at 10:00 AM as we celebrate our community and all we've accomplished together.

As part of our Summer Concert Series, we've recently been blessed with two wonderful evenings under the tent, bringing our community together to enjoy music, fellowship, and beautiful summer nights.

First, we enjoyed a special evening of praise and worship led by our own Jean Claude, with fellow staff member Bonheur accompanying on keyboard, along with talented friends and family members. It was a joy to see Jean Claude and Bonheur share their musical gifts with our community. Sharing songs in both English and Swahili, they created a joyful and welcoming experience that brought people together through faith and music.

Most recently, Caitlin Cusack Music, accompanied by Zach, joined us for a fun-filled night of music. Caitlin shared several songs she has written, along with a few familiar favorites that invited everyone to sing along. It was a fun evening filled with amazing music and a beautiful night shared together.

We are grateful for these special evenings that bring our community together and make summer even more memorable. A special thank you to our friends at Guardian Pharmacy Services for sponsoring our Summer Concert Series.
