Jobs for Life is starting again soon! 👔

Starting September 14, AGR’s Men’s Center will begin another 11-week Jobs for Life program, open to all men 18 and older 😎

This program is for men who want to grow, build confidence, and take steps toward creating a stronger future for themselves and their families.🛠️

🎓One recent graduate shared:
“I'm very appreciative for the experiences, gifts, and knowledge I gained through Jobs for Life... I'm pleased to learn how much help there is in our community to achieve an occupational dream.”

Through Jobs for Life, participants will build job skills, work on resumes, practice interviews, connect with local employers, and have a Job Champion walking alongside them.

Another breastfeeding class is in the books! 🍼

We’re excited to celebrate another group of moms-to-be who took time to learn, ask questions, and prepare for their upcoming journeys into motherhood. 🎉

A big thank you to WIC (Women, Infants and Children) of Kent County Health Department for partnering with us to provide helpful, practical information that gave these moms a well-rounded understanding of breastfeeding, what they may experience, and what support can look like if they choose to breastfeed.💙
And the best part? Each mom got to choose a breast pump to take home at the end of the class! This hands-on resource gives moms an extra tool to support their feeding journey once their little ones arrive.

We’re so excited for each of these moms and all that’s ahead! ✨
We’re honored to walk alongside them by providing education, resources, and encouragement as they prepare to welcome their babies.😍

Through our Step Up Program, mentors meet one-on-one with a client to offer encouragement, support, and education while helping them set and work toward personal goals.✨

You don't need a perfect schedule to volunteer. Meetings are 1 hour and scheduled flexibly based on your availability and the mom's schedule.💫

Growing and learning together 🌟

Last week, the AGR team tuned in to the Global Leadership Summit (Global Leadership Network)online! We heard from inspiring voices like Arthur Brooks , Vanessa Van Edwards , Kwame Christian, Priscilla Shirer, Craig Groeschel, and more. 🎤

With our Women’s Center renovation underway, our team has been spread out across different spaces. So, getting everyone together in one place was extra special! We shared good food, plenty of snacks, and lots of opportunities to learn and grow together.🤩

And the best part? What we learn doesn’t just stay with us. It helps us become better teammates, better leaders, and better equipped to show up for the moms and dads who walk through our doors.💙

Quarterly board meetings are an important time for our leaders to pause, reflect on where we are, and look ahead to where we're going. These conversations help ensure we are making thoughtful decisions that support our mission and the families we serve.💚

During this meeting, our Board:
📊Reviewed key metrics around client services, fundraising, staff satisfaction and more
🧱Celebrated progress on our Capital Campaign, including that the project remains on time and on budget
✨Discussed ways to support our upcoming Banquet, our biggest fundraiser of the year
💫Looked ahead at long-term goals and how we continue working toward our vision of becoming the model of care in the pregnancy care movement

🎉 A big congratulations to this mama for completing our Pregnancy Education program! 🎉

She faithfully attended every single class, spending the last several weeks preparing for her baby's arrival. Along the way, she learned about labor and delivery, late stage pregnancy, postpartum recovery, newborn care, and so much more.✨

Because of her commitment to the program, she got to take home a Pack 'n Play for her little one! 🤩

We're so proud of the hard work she put in and can't wait to meet her sweet baby. Join us in celebrating this amazing mama as she gets ready to welcome her little one! 💕
