There may not be a better way to spend a hot August day than serving some of the sweetest seniors in our community.

One of our YMSL Wylie young men hit the road with his mom and Meals on Wheels Collin County, delivering hot meals, sharing smiles and spending a little time with 34 Wylie seniors along the way.

It’s a simple act of service that makes a very real difference—and one that reminds us what YMSL is all about: showing up, connecting with our community and serving together.

Meals on Wheels of Collin County is always looking for volunteers to help deliver routes throughout the county. Grab your young man or mom, sign up for a route and see why this is such a favorite way to serve. ❤️

🛏️ **NEW PHILANTHROPY ALERT!**

YMSL Wylie is excited to welcome BED START as one of our newest philanthropy partners! ❤️

For more than 30 years, Bed Start has helped individuals and families in poverty, crisis, or need turn empty spaces into homes — delivering furniture and essential household items to those who need them most.

And the impact is BIG: approximately **$950,000 in donated household items delivered each year.** 🏠

Our YMSL Wylie moms and young men will now have the opportunity to be part of that impact through hands-on service with Bed Start.

We can’t wait to get to work. 💙

Food insecurity isn’t something happening somewhere else. It’s happening right here in our community.

The Sachse News reports that nearly 150,000 Collin County residents lack consistent access to adequate food — and the number of children experiencing food insecurity increased by more than 9,000 in just one year.

For YMSL Wylie, those numbers put an even greater purpose behind the hours our moms and young men spend serving.

This year, 5 Loaves Ministries is at the heart of our Ultimate Gift project, and our members regularly serve alongside Hope For the Cities, Meals on Wheels America and Amazing Grace Food Pantry — three local organizations working every day to make sure our neighbors have food on their tables and support when they need it most.

Every shift. Every donation. Every hour. It adds up.

And when we serve locally, we get to see exactly who benefits: our neighbors, our schools and our community.

We’re proud to serve alongside organizations doing this important work — and even more motivated to make this year of service count. 💙

🎉 NEW PHILANTHROPY PARTNER!

YMSL Wylie is excited to welcome Wylie Oaks Health and Rehabilitation to our philanthropy family! ❤️

Wylie Oaks provides skilled nursing and rehabilitation services right here in our community, with activities and opportunities for residents to stay active, engaged and connected.

And we already have our first service project planned: BINGO with the residents! 🎱 🙌

Our moms and young men will spend time alongside residents—helping with the game, cheering them on, celebrating their wins and, most importantly, building connections across generations.

Because service isn’t always about what you can do for someone.

Sometimes it’s about showing up, sitting down and spending time together.

We can’t wait to get started with our newest community partner.

Our YMSL Wylie young men and moms spent time volunteering with Feed My Starving Children, packing meals that will help provide nourishment to children around the world.

It’s a simple act with a big impact—and exactly what YMSL is all about: giving our young men meaningful opportunities to serve, lead and make a difference alongside their moms.

Volunteers are needed for Birmingham Elementary’s Summer Send-Off! Our Young Men will help run the fun while giving Birmingham’s kids a great last hurrah before the school year gets underway.

The best part? The kids LOVE seeing our YMs there. ⭐
