Working closely with community-based arts organizations, service clubs, municipal governments, schools and social agencies, the DCA:

Provides volunteer, educational and professional development opportunities

Supports the wide-range of cultural activities Downriver

Assists in the development and implementation of arts programming

Works collaboratively with local schools and agencies to insure e

qual access and opportunities

Promotes the recognition of art and culture as a primary contributor to economic development and the quality of life

Offers employment opportunities to artists/educators

Salutes outstanding corporate and individual contributions to the arts

The Downriver Council for the Arts invites all current—and soon-to-be—members to submit artwork for our annual Members Show, a vibrant showcase highlighting the incredible talent within our DCA family. Whether you’re a long-time member or thinking about joining, this exhibition is your chance to share your voice, your craft, and your passion. Artists are welcome to submit up to three pieces in any medium or size—from painting, photography, sculpture, and fiber arts to digital works, mixed media, and everything in between. Not a current member? Haven’t renewed yet? Now is the perfect time. Participation in the Members Show is open to all artists with an active DCA membership, and we’d love to welcome you (back) into the fold. Showcase your work. Connect with fellow artists. Celebrate the Downriver creative community. We can’t wait to see what you bring!
