The Community Garden is growing beautifully! Feel free to stop by anytime from dawn to dusk to enjoy the sights, colors, and hard work of our gardeners. We simply ask that you leave all flowers, fruits, and vegetables for the gardeners who planted them. Take all the photos you’d like!

📖 New Free Little Library Alert 📖

A Little Free Library was donated by David Chall of Palm Springs CA and Cindy Dilley of Wyandotte in loving memory of their mother Judith VanRaaphorst. Judy, past president of the Wyandotte Garden Club, was also a volunteer docent at the Wyandotte Historical Society.

Her lifelong passion of reading and gardens led to the decision to place the Little Free Library in the Wyandotte Community Garden for all to enjoy.

We ask folks to bring just 1 book each - that way her friends can fill the library 1 book and memory at a time.

We're looking for more gardens to feature in the 2026 Wyandotte Garden Walk on Saturday, July 25!
And before you say, "My garden isn't good enough," yes, it is.

We want to showcase all types of gardens throughout Wyandotte—big or small, front yards, backyards, vegetable gardens, pollinator gardens, container gardens, cottage gardens, and everything in between.

The Garden Walk is about celebrating the many ways our residents create beauty, grow food, support wildlife, and enjoy gardening.

If you love your garden, we'd love to have you.

We’re continuing to work on filling in and beautifying our Forest Street Garden and are looking for drought tolerant flowering plants that can thrive with little maintenance and rainfall alone. As we continue building out the space, we’d love to reuse and rehome divisions from gardens right here in our community.

If you’re splitting any plants in your backyard this spring and have extras to share, please consider donating them to the garden! We’re especially looking for plants like butterfly w**d, coneflower, blazing star, wild bergamot, coreopsis, prairie smoke, sedum, and hostas for the shady areas under the bushes.

Plant drop offs will be Saturday morning at 9am at Forest & 4th. Thank you all for continuing to help us grow and make these spaces more beautiful for everyone in the community to enjoy!

Do you love spending time in your garden? 🌿

The Wyandotte Garden Club is looking for gardeners throughout Wyandotte to open their yards for our 2026 Garden Walk on Saturday, July 25 from 9am–12pm!

We’re looking for gardens of all types, sizes, and skill levels — flowers, vegetables, pollinator gardens, cozy backyard spaces, and everything in between. You do not need a “perfect” garden to participate. We want to showcase the creativity and passion of gardeners throughout our community.

Looking for some items to help spruce up your garden this summer?

We have a variety of pots, yard decor, & even plants (both indoor & outdoor) to choose from!

There are also other outdoor items including seating, hose sprayer ends, & even a grill. 😋🍔🌭

Come stop by & meet a few members of the local garden club, & learn a little bit about our plans for the season to come. We look forward to meeting you! 😊

Hosted at one of our members home at 3625 22nd St! We hope to see you tomorrow (Sunday)!

We’re still looking for donations for the Wyandotte Garden Club garage sale this Friday & Saturday.

If you have any garden tools, pots, planters, outdoor decor, lawn equipment, or other outdoor/garden-related items you no longer need, please consider donating them to help support the club and our community projects.

If you have something to donate, comment below. We may even be able to come pick items up, so you don’t have to worry about dropping them off.

This morning, some of our members came together to help clean up the garden space at 4th & Forest in the southeast corner of the McKinley neighborhood.

Today was all about the cleanup, and we’re so excited for what’s next! We can’t wait to start planting beautiful flowers that will not only brighten the neighborhood, but also provide an important food source for bees, butterflies, and other pollinators.
