You’re invited! Please join us on October 16th “Around The Fire!”

Enjoy some volleyball or spike ball with your camp friends, eat together, hear a message from a special guest, and worship around the fire. Kitchen Manager Joseph is going to cook up some fall dinner favorites for all- no need to RSVP or bring a side, just bring yourself!

The only sad part about this wonderful cool weather, is that it’s a reminder that for most of us, it will be a whole year before we see our camp friends again. Please, take this opportunity to enjoy the Ranch during the fall season, and spend some time worshiping God together as a community.

There are just a few spots available for Wednesday GATES! Wednesday is our only afternoon session of GATES; it is often filled the fastest out of our three days, so if you’ve been waiting and thinking about it, this fall is a good time to try it out.

Scholarships are available through the Reach for the Stars scholarship fund.

Somehow it’s August! And summer programs at Strong Tower Ranch are officially over ☀️

We ended our busy summer with the Trailblazer Retreat, a 4-day, 4-night retreat for 13-14-year-olds. They stay at the cabin or camp in a tent, enjoy all the outdoor activities, and dive deep with intentional Bible study and quiet time.

We spend the most time with this oldest group of campers, and we give them bigger questions and more opportunities to explore what it means to follow Jesus. This can be a hard age, and we are so glad that we get the opportunity to guide these young people as they step into the teenage years.

Stay tuned over the next couple of weeks, as we start to share spotlights of each week of camp 🔥

*as previously noted, all photos from each week of camp will be made available via email to parents of campers. These will be available to download for a limited time, so make sure you look through them sooner than later!

It is so hard to believe that our summer of day camp is already almost over! 4 weeks of horse camp and 3 weeks of day camp down, and only one more day until DC Week Four is over, too. We’ll finish things out with the Trailblazer retreat next week, but in the meantime, here’s a snippet of the past couple weeks!

A note regarding pictures- we have some wonderful people volunteer their skills to take photos, edit, sort and cull, and then get those camp photos to parents! This year, we are changing things up by emailing a link to parents of campers with access to a photo album for each week. This will make it a little easier for our volunteers, and streamline the process so that parents get photos a little sooner.

Volunteers, don’t forget that you can access the Google Drive for photos.

We will also post a photo dump on Facebook as the season wraps up…just not hundreds of photos at a time!

Stay tuned for more moments from the summer- it sure has been a good one.

“…it seems fitting to highlight one of our horses, Spirit. He came to us on February 8, 2015, after we received a phone call about a wounded horse that desperately needed a home. When we first visited this little fella, he was high-headed and very scared.”

“We repeatedly witness the Spirit of the Lord showing up, doing what He does best…providing freedom and helping children open their hearts and experience a glimpse of what true freedom feels like in Jesus.“

Our program director, Lori Brooks, has written a beautiful newsletter to celebrate the halfway mark of our summer and our country’s 250th birthday. If you’re not already on our newsletter list, this one is worth joining. 🔥
