Bo has perfected the art of the polite shelter pose…
Paws crossed.
Eyes locked on you.
Quietly waiting.
This sweet boy watches people walk by his kennel every day, hoping today might finally be his turn.
Bo is the kind of dog who doesn’t demand attention — he gently asks for it. The kind who looks at you like you’re already his favorite person, even if you just met.
While other dogs may bark and jump to be noticed, Bo simply waits… with those hopeful eyes that say, “Maybe you?”
He deserves more than a kennel, a blanket, and a food bowl on the floor.
He deserves a couch. A family. A place where those paws can stay crossed while he relaxes next to his person.
Right now, Bo is still waiting.
But the right person could change that today. 🐾
Come meet Bo. Your best friend might be sitting quietly, waiting just like this.

Meet Faline! This beautiful 1-year-old girl was found as a stray on 2/4/26 and is now ready to start the next chapter of her life with a loving family.
Faline can be a little unsure when meeting new people at first, but she warms up quickly once she realizes you’re a friend. A patient adopter who is willing to let her settle in at her own pace will quickly see the sweet, affectionate dog she truly is.
Because Faline likely spent time on her own before arriving at the shelter, she would benefit from continued basic obedience training using positive reinforcement. She’s a smart young dog who will thrive with guidance, consistency, and encouragement.
Faline has been introduced to a few dogs by staff and did well greeting them. Her greeting style might look a little funny at first, but that’s just her unique way of saying hello! She did nicely with calmer dogs and showed a lot of interest in the dogs who were running around playing. She can be a bit of a bull-dozer during play, so we kept her on leash, but she may enjoy a home with another playful dog who can match her energy.
As a young and active pup, Faline will benefit from both physical and mental exercise. A 6-foot fence may also be helpful to give her a safe space to stretch her legs and burn off energy.
Faline would do best in a home with kids 10+ and with adopters who are willing to help her continue building confidence by introducing her to new people and experiences slowly.
With a little patience, guidance, and love, Faline has all the potential to grow into an amazing companion. 🐾

Hi everyone, Otto here! 🐾
I just wanted to check in and give you a little foster update… and let you know I’m doing pretty great!
When I lived at PAC, I thought I was pretty spoiled already. Everyone gave me attention, treats, and told me how handsome I was. But guess what? My foster family spoils me too! I guess I’m just the kind of guy people like to spoil. 😌
I recently went to the park, and I did really well! There were so many things to see and smell. I’m a very curious pup and love checking everything out. I also enjoy meeting new people and other dogs — making friends is kind of my specialty. 🐕
Now… I’ll be honest… sometimes I can be a little bit of a handful. But hey, I’m still a puppy, so I’m just learning how this whole life thing works.
The good news? My potty training is going really well! I haven’t had any accidents lately, and I’m very proud of myself.
My foster family says I’m a real joy to have around the house, and I think they might be right. I love being part of the action, exploring new places, and getting lots of love.
So if you’re looking for a curious, friendly, slightly goofy pup who loves adventures and making new friends…
you might just be looking for me.
— Otto 🐶💛

My problem with the 3×3×3 rule

Not because it’s bad advice.
It’s memorable.
It helps people understand that adjustment takes time.

But those timelines are often taken far too literally.

Three days.
Three weeks.
Three months.

Dogs don’t follow a schedule like that.

Some adjust quickly.
Some take a very long time and some will circle back and go through all those stages more than once. All of this is normal.

What really matters is understanding that behaviour often shifts when a dog begins to feel safer.

Safety doesn’t have a timeline

That’s the key message here.

Meet Cal – your future midnight roommate and full-time gentleman. 🐾✨

Cal is a soft-spoken sweetheart with a mysterious vibe. He prefers a calm, quiet home where he can take his time getting to know you. Think of him as the strong, silent type… until he decides you’re his person. Once you’re in his inner circle? Total lovebug. Certified snuggler. Professional heart-melter.

By day, Cal enjoys his beauty sleep in a cozy, dark hideaway — he takes his naps very seriously. But when the sun goes down? The party begins! 🌙 He transforms into a playful, chatty little night owl who will happily entertain you with laser pointer acrobatics and impressive hunting skills (those toy mice never stand a chance).

He’s also a true gentleman — no furniture scratching scandals here! He keeps his claws to himself and even tolerates nail trims like the polite prince he is.

If you’re looking for a loyal companion who blossoms into a loving, playful best friend, Cal is ready to quietly steal your heart (and maybe your laser pointer). 💛

💖🐾 It’s a raccoon! It’s a fox! It’s a duck! No… it’s Jetta! 🐾💖

Meet Jetta, the master of impersonations! With her red-tipped tail, raccoon stance, and duck-like quack, she’s always keeping PAC on our toes. But underneath all the theatrics, Jetta is a sweet and playful girl who loves head pets, nook snuggles, and showing off her versatile personality.
Her foster shares that she’s best with older kids and a patient, understanding family who can read her little signals—she may nip when overstimulated, but it’s just her way of saying, “give me a moment!”
💌 Looking for a playful Valentine who keeps you guessing? Jetta might be the one!

Daphne is doing wonderful in her foster home! ☀️ She has quickly found one of her favorite pastimes — stretching out in a sunny spot while listening to all the neighborhood sounds. Birds chirping, leaves rustling, neighbors passing by… Daphne loves quietly taking it all in while relaxing in the warmth.
Foster life is helping her learn just how nice comfort, routine, and peaceful moments can be. She’s settling in beautifully and showing what a calm, content, and observant girl she is.
Daphne is currently enjoying the good life in foster care while she waits for her forever family to find her. 💛

Puppy biting can really get to you.
Not just physically but emotionally too.

You can love your puppy and still feel exhausted, frustrated, and a bit defeated by it all.

They bite when they’re excited.
They bite when they’re frustrated.
They bite when they’re tired, overwhelmed, teething or not quite sure what to do with themselves.

The good news is this is communication.

It is information you can use to adjust how you play, how much interaction they are getting, when naps happen and how busy their day really is.

What often helps most is not doing more.
More entertaining.
More exercise.
More reacting.
Even more trying to stop it.

It is often about doing a little less.

Less constant hand play.
Less non stop interaction when they are awake.
Less pressure to always be "on".

Sometimes though more really is needed, just not the kind people usually think of.

More rest.
More sleep.
More quiet time.

And for some puppies who are under stimulated, it may be more short training games, more gentle engagement, or more chances to build confidence in small, manageable ways.

Puppy mouthing is normal.
It means your puppy is still learning how to exist in a human world.
We tend to expect self control very early and very quickly from puppies who simply are not there yet.

This stage passes.
Especially when puppies feel safe, supported and guided and not constantly in "trouble" for something they don't yet know how to do differently.

If this is where you are at right now, you're not alone.
You're not failing your puppy.

You are just in the middle of a really normal, really hard stage.
