Volunteers are needed to help prep and serve summer lunches to needy families this summer. This program is in partnership with the Wright City School District. It will be happening at the West Elementary School cafeteria. We need volunteers to help school staff from 9:45 am till 11:30 am on Mondays & Wednesdays starting June 29th and going through July 29th, 2026. We are needing about 4 volunteers per day. The pantry has an overstock of milk and bread. We will be open on Tuesday, June 16th from Noon to 4pm to the public for a special hand-out of these overstock items. Please share the word.

Assistance resource

NECAC offers summer utility assistance

NECAC is offering utility assistance to qualifying residents of 12 Missouri counties.
Applicants must meet income guidelines, have received a utility shut-off notice, be the person responsible for the bill and have $3,000 or less in financial resources. The Energy Crisis Intervention Program pays up to $300 toward disconnect notices for any heating or cooling energy source.
Applications may be submitted online at www.necac.org or in person at NECAC Service Centers in each of the 12 counties.
The monthly income limit for a one-person household is $2,840. For a four-person residence, it’s $5,461. Additional guidelines are available upon request.
The program is funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and is distributed through the Missouri Department of Social Services, which then contracts with NECAC to administer the service. Last summer, NECAC assisted 4,062 households.

Our food pantry family extends condolences to the family of Murrill Wohler. Mr Murril was a faithful supporter of our food pantry Lenten fish fries since our beginning days. We have terrific memories of his weekly visits to the fish fry drive thru year after year. He was quite a jokester 😅 and will be dearly missed! ❤️
