The annual First Responders Appreciation Dinner was held on Wednesday, May 20, at the American Legion in Wrentham.

A delicious dinner of chicken and steak, prepared by Alicia Sheridan and Kristin Andreozzi, along with many wonderful side dishes provided by members of The Holly Club, was enjoyed by all. And of course, there were plenty of delicious desserts!

This special evening is one small way we can say “Thank You” to the dedicated First Responders who work so hard every day to keep our community safe.

We are deeply grateful for their service, commitment, and sacrifice.

The Holly Club is proud to be part of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC), an international organization headquartered in Washington, D.C., founded on April 24, 1890.
For generations, GFWC has supported legislation and initiatives that have strengthened communities and advanced opportunities for women and families, including support for women’s suffrage, equal pay, the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA), the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), and protections against violence and exploitation.

Locally, The Holly Club continues its mission of service by providing scholarships for graduating seniors, supporting community projects in Wrentham, participating in GFWC programs and initiatives, working with the Wrentham Food Pantry, and supporting New Hope, a domestic violence shelter - just a few of the many ways we proudly serve our community.

Service, compassion, leadership, and community remain at the heart of all we do.

What a wonderful and inspiring weekend!

Michelle Clinch, Alicia Sheridan, Robin O’Connor, Donna Canavan, and Penny Olson attended the annual conference of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs of Massachusetts, of which The Holly Club is a proud member.

We are honored to share that we returned home with several awards recognizing the programs we support throughout the year. These include our work with New Hope in Attleboro, honoring our first responders and veterans, collecting books for the Special Program Advocate for Children, and our continued support of Mass Star.

A special congratulations to Alicia Sheridan for winning first place in the writing contest. Her story will be forwarded to the international GFWC for competition with entries representing all 50 states and beyond. And to Penny Olson, whose photograph earned second place in the Photo Contest.

The highlight of the day was the installation of Alicia Sheridan as Second Vice President of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs of Massachusetts. We offer our heartfelt congratulations and full support as she continues her journey toward becoming President.

It truly was a wonderful day. I’m so grateful to be part of an organization dedicated to service. GFWC MA and The Holly Club not only support our local communities, they also work tirelessly in Washington, DC, advocating for legislation that supports women’s issues.

What a fantastic night we had at our April Line Dancing Fundraiser! 🤠🎶

With the amazing Felicia Coyle leading the way, we didn’t simply learn the steps—we stepped right into the attitude and style of country line dancing. There were some seasoned dancers on the floor, and the rest of us had an absolute blast learning along the way. Smiles, laughter, and a few missed steps made it even more fun!

As the evening went on, we shifted gears and danced our way through the 80’s and 90’s. From classic line dances like the Electric Slide to crowd favorites like Twist and Shout, the dance floor stayed full and the energy never slowed down.
And of course… the pizza and drinks were flowing, keeping everyone fueled for more fun! 🍕🥤

Nights like this remind me how special it is when our community comes together—sharing laughter, learning something new, and supporting a great cause.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the evening so memorable. We can’t wait to do it again! 💛

What a fun and heartwarming evening at our Musical Bingo fundraiser! 🎶
I’ll admit… I didn’t know a lot of the songs 😄and what made the night even more special was how everyone at the table jumped right in to help. There’s something so wonderful about that kind of shared experience… laughter, teamwork, and a whole lot of fun.

Most of all, it fills my heart to see our community come together for a common cause. Raising money for scholarships and supporting the needs of our town is what the Holly Club is all about, and nights like this remind me how powerful that connection really is.
We will be doing another Musical Bingo—so keep a watch out for the next date and come join us. You won’t want to miss a night filled with fun, laughter, and community spirit! 💛
